Get a ddress and then send them a cease and desist - you'll need all the info, who they called for etc to list on the cease & desist and send it certified US mail.  Keep all information in writing and any voice messages. Record any time you speak with them and do so according to your states laws, some states require you tell them its being recorded.

Then if they keep up calling, you have legal recourse (TCPA laws) to sue them for harassment.

I have been harassed by this number for such a long time now, calling me almost every other day , with a recorded voice message. My cell number must have with a person in the past that didn't pay their bill and now I'm stuck with this number that has constant calls from this number. I even got someone to call them back and let them know this is not the person they are looking for, they said they would take my number out of their system within 24 hours. It stopped for awhile , but started again full force after a couple weeks. They are do annoying.

I don't understand I'm in Canada only sine 1 month and I've no debt I've never seen Medical Person! I'm here just for one year I don't think it's an agency to try to collect unpaid medical Plan or they are very bad informed!

I got same one today1-778-945-0062. before that, I got call from 1-250-940-0449 ( they called me 3times a day). It was a woman with some kind of European accent. She asked my date of birth to tell me why she calling me for.... (she was quite aggressive).When I told them not to calling me every day, you guys are harassing me. She said " I will call you back again!" and hang up. They are really nasty. DO NOT give them your personal information over the phone! If you have any debt with CRA, just directly pay for CRA. NOT FOR ARC!

Nowadays the bill/debt collectors are breaking all the rules that they are by law suppose to follow with no consequences. Who do we call to report them to. to get them in trouble?? & stop the major harassment & anxiety that they create. Do they think because they're harassing us that we can just run down & pay the debt?? Ridiculous...do they think we enjoy being in debt? Once again ridiculous !! Who is out there to help put a stop to this major disruption in our lives??No wonder people have been known to commit suicide over financial problems.. These A**les push them over the edge !!

It is ARC- Accounts Recovery Corporation. A collection agent hired by BC Revenue Agency to try to collect unpaid Medical Plan premiums. Under law, only the Federal Gov't is able garnish or withhold payment of refunds etc. for past debt and/or services rendered. A Provincial Gov't can't directly do this but can work with the Federal Gov't behind the scene. A Provincial Gov'ts only direct coarse of action is to farm out the supposed debt to a collection agent- hence ARC !
I know all this because I am current caught in a Catch 22. Revenue BC says I owe X-Amount for Unpaid Medical Premiums but also waiting for official past year Tax Returns from the the Federal Gov't. I will not deal with or talk to ARC. All will resolve it self at the end of the day...

Just so everyone knows, & this will-p****off the collection agents: by Federal Law, a collection agency has the power to "Ask You to pay your bill and offer assistance in setting up a payment schedule" That is all.

1) they are never allowed to call you at your place of employment for any reason.
2) they can not, under any circumstances, harrass you into payment, by phone, mail or in person & they may not threaten you or your credit standing in any way.
3) You do not have to deal with a collection agency at any time. You are only obligated to deal with the original creditor, even if the agency has bought the account from them. You do not have to deal with them. 4) a collection agency can not put negative information on your credit file.
5) so in short... all they can do is "nicely" ask you to pay your bill. But we all know that they generally go way beyond that.

If you are having a problem with an agency, call the consumer bureau and report them and if it is a serious harassment issue, or call at your place of employment, contact the police and file charges. These are federal laws that they must follow, but most offen do not and will push it to the limit. Yes, several collectors have been fired and / or charged under these laws. Some even jailed. Their employers usually get a fine & tell the authorities they never asked the employee to do that, thus leaving the employee on their own to take the blame. True sharks in every way.
If you are having financial issues, & most people do at one point or another in their lives, call a credit counselling service in your area. They are a free service in every province and will assist you. Do not deal with collectors on your own. If you can not afford to pay, the service will understand & work with you, without any judgement toward you, and no credit bruising. The calls stop immediately.

I no longer answer my land-line unless I recognize the calling party's number, I let my answering machine
pick-up the incoming calls.
My outgoing message to all calling parties is a continuous recording of the Jeopardy theme tune, which I
found on YouTube!!!

these people have been calling me 3x's plus a week for the last 2 months. at first it was unknown name/number now with the above number attached. always the same recorded message, but never asking for a specific person. Real collection agengy ALWAYs ask for a specific person.

if that's true I don't understand why they  call me 3x's plus a week. My  MSP is paid through my group plan at work

They did not say a word, when I said hello. Said hello again, same thing.

I got a call from 778-945-0062 no one answers me when i say hello, and i stayed on the phone for 5 minutes and nothing. if it is a medical services then they better not be doing this and act profesional

It's actually an accounts recovery company that BC Medical Services has looking for people that haven't paid their monthly premiums

Just did some more investigating. It's ARC - Accounts Recovery Corporation. This collection agency has a very poor record with Consumer Protection Act agency.

Called home number several times without message, then started calling my cell. Next time they call I'll be blasting my industrial air horn. That should stop it.

Me too, I blocked my number and called back it went to a business of some sort. Press 1 for English - I hung up. Don't know what the business is though?

Looks like they are calling tones of people if the other two post were posted just 1.5hrs ago and ruffly when they called me too.
