Robot call, not legal, make them stop!

said they were going to a jury or something tells you to call 888-270-0223

I used a claxton horn the last time they called.  I have it ready for the next time as well.

been getting calls from 780-328-3711 for about 3 years I have called in once and asked for a bill but they never send one. second call they demanded money I told him to go eat crap then also told him I was recording this call then they stop calling for 3 to 4 months then back again. they can never do anything lmfao now I just like messing with them so much fun. I also paid for a telemarketer  company to keep spamming there company

they call me and harass me

these people will not stop calling me  and threaten me,the man by name died 2 years ago which was paying his room at my place, now they want me to pay his debts. what can i do to stop them. its the n.r.c  collection.

I received this recorded phone message approximately 30 minutes ago; listening to this harassment, they were using my mother's information. I find this very offending and hope they call again because they will be phoning the wrong person eventually or already have.. that will find & sue them. I hope they are not targeting the vulnerable people =(

I too received a call that I breached some type of contract and to contact them right way..but the could not complete the message.. it looks like a recorded voice mail.. waz terrified as not sure .. reading these blogs I feel this is a bogus

Just got a number of calls from different numbers on this one.  The message is the same as most of the posts on this site.  Saying that I have broken some kind of contractual agreement.  Not really sure what they are talking about.
They keep changing the number so you cannot trace or block.   I am even receiving them on my office phone late at night???  What is up with that one.  From all the emails I have researched under all the bogus numbers this call has a list of different numbers that seem to be growing.  
Whether they are using past listings from whatever entity that gives out debt info or just randomly picking people......I am not sure.  But if it continues, then I will be suing the pants off of whomever this is and whoever is giving out any of my personal information.

Let me add my voice to this. Whoever it is from this number - supposedly a message from a Mr. Bloomenstein or Mr. Steinberg - is using harassing and threatening language. They can be sued.

This company called and left a nasty voice mail message, that they would sue me if I did not call back in 10 minutes. No mention of who they were, or why they were calling but just this nasty threatening comment. I did not bother to call back as I consider a call like this harassing. Looking on here I assume they were debt collectors as I just got this telephone number and get a lot of debt collectors from the previous owner of the number.  I do not live in Alberta.

Good questions to ask:

?    What the money you say I owe is for;
?    Explain and show me how you calculated what you say I owe;
?    Provide me with copies of any papers that show I agreed to pay what you say I owe;
?    Provide a verification or copy of any judgement if applicable;
?    Identify the original creditor;
?    Prove the Statute of Limitations has not expired on this account;
?    Show me that you are licensed to collect in my province; and
?    Provide me with your license numbers

I just recently went through this where a collection agency was trying to collect on a debt that was 10 years old. They were also trying to collect interest from the past 10 years as well. I received multiple phone calls a day with a number of voice mails threatening to do something if not heard back within 72 hours. They never did anything. I got in touch with my province's consumer complaint board and filed an official complaint. I also sent a registered letter to the collection agency stating that I was disputing the debt and requested validation of the debt. I also asked them to provide a judgement if applicable or prove that the statute of limitations has not passed. I requested that no further phone calls be made to me until this information was sent and gave them a deadline to provide this to me within 30 days or ask that they delete the account that they were collecting on.
I heard nothing from them from over a month. The phones calls stopped. Since they did not provide me with the verification that I requested, the government stepped in. The collection agency responded promptly and blamed the original creditor for not being able to provide them with the info they needed so it left them no choice but to close the account as uncollectable.
These guys are good and they bank on you slipping up and owning up to the debt or offering to make a payment because of their bully tactics which will reset the statue of limitations. Be careful! Before speaking to them, I pulled up both credit bureau's to see what was on there so I had a leg to stand on. I knew this was an old old debt. We all make mistakes but it was good to know I had rights! They were trying to collect 5X the amount of the original debt and I can tell you I am glad I did my research! If you're getting harassing calls, pull your reports to see what's going on. If you know this is old, send them a cease and desist letter until they can provide debt validation and get in touch with your provincial consumer services board. Do not talk to them.

Correction 780 427 4088 or 877 427 4088 is the Alberta office, each Provincial office number is different.  If you go thru the process I did you have to get a form, submit the form, then submit another form to another person, who accepts your form .... and they'll still keep calling.

The automated message I got was from "David Steinburg's Law Office", and to return the call immediately or they will start legal proceedings.  They called 3 times last week and once this week.  I've called them back now twice to tell them I am not the person they are looking for (even though we have the same last name), and to stop calling me, he hung up on me.
The debt collection agency number for the Province of Alberta is 780-427-4952. Make sure you call them and tell them about this scam.

These guys call me all the time about a so called "debt". I'm fifteen years old.. Sounds like a scam to me.

messages left from a collection agency that we haven't paid our direct energy bill? We have NEVER used direct enery!  I told him to send me a copy of the bill, and its been over a year, still no copy of a bill. Go figure! No bill, no money for you!  This guy was an a**, and when I asked him for his home number so I could call him and harrass him, he hung up. Scam? I think so

this has been calling for my husband for over a week finally he called back and they claimed to be a credit recovery agency, for a bill from a power company over 5 years ago, so he went to the bank and paid the $275. He did owe a power bill from long time ago so we assumed this was a legit collection agency. sure hope we were'nt scammed out of this.

I have been receiving calls from 780 328 3711 on my cell number and I don't know how they got that number but anyway it is rather annoying to be receiving those calls. I don't answer them but they always leave long winded message that are threaten.

I just received a call from a Joshua Coleman from NCI saying" I've been breached and legal actions will be taken against me if I don't phone them back within 24hrs. I don't owe any debts so I looked up this phone number they left on my machine and to my surprise ( not really surprised) it was a scam.

just got the same call there is nothing they can do unless they send you mail

I got a call from this number today saying "im in breach" and "legal action" is gonna be taken if i do not call back in 24 hrs..What is this crap?

I received a second automated message from NCi looking for a Brenda Work -
I returned the call and he asked did I know Brenda Work  I said no it was a company cell and he said he would take my number off their records !

yes that is true they cant do anything unless you pay them even    A PENNY AND IGNOLANGE IT SO DONT DO IT.......

it is probably an old debt that you have forgotten about it is illegal to collect or do anything to you if over 7 yrs

what name did they use... they are collecting debts that are over there limit so u may not have to pay

where r u from what they are doing is illegal and should nto call you... i want to shut them down... for breaking all the collection laws... if you know anyone else let me know...
