I have received six phone calls from this number within last four days. They called once just before noon then once again around 4 p.m. I never answered the call after checking this site.

This # has called about 3x this whole week. If a person does answer you can ask them to be placed on their do not solicit list or ask to speak to their privacy officer & they will remove your name from further contact.

I received a call from the same number and they say it is TD, Meloche Monnex Insurance and ask if you have any questions about your insurance policy.
I asked why they were asking and was told it was a courtesy call because "sometime people have questions about their policy but don't ask them".
They called both my home and work numbers over the past 48 hours.

This number has been calling me up to 4 times a day for the last 2 weeks, everyday. I'm about to lose it on someone!!! Cell phones should NOT be listed in 'tele-marketers' phone call crap. What happened to the ONE call a night at dinner on your home phone?! GEEZ

If you are a telus customer, try *60. This should block them. If they're not the last number called, just simply dial in the number. This way when they call, they receive this message - "this person is not accepting calls right now". Your phone won't ring and you won't know they called.

If you are not the Person on the Profile with ANYTHING to do with TD Bank, for Privacy Reasons, they will not tell you anything or not leave a message with anyone. Remember even if you have a Product or Service yourself with any TD Subsidiary or even if you are a Joint Account Holder, again it is not your Profile. Everything is "Profile Based" NOT "Account or Service Based", each Person or Signing Authority (Business) is treated as ONE PERSON and is LINKED to their UNIQUE Access Card Number (Green Debit Card), that is built that way to provide the BEST PRIVACY AND SECURITY!!!
Example: Husband & Wife married for years Everything Joint. If you change your Contact Info: Address & Phone #, but your Joint Account Holder does NOT, depending who is the Primary, mail will go the existing info on file. So, all parties must change the info on their own Profile.

I work at TDCT Easyline and I am not sure 100%, but if you call us at 1-866-222-3456 (ONLY IF YOU HAVE AN CURRENT PRODUCTS OR SERVICES ON AN ACTIVE PROFILE) you can request to have your Contact Preferences Modified.

just received a call from 780 420 2301..thinking I had missed an expected phone call and do not have ID call display, I used the code to retrieve last number called, tried calling back and was also told that this number would not accept incoming calls. I am ticked because using the star 69 option has cost me money only to hear silence at the other end,, especially knowong that someone was indeed on the line. I am a Telus customer..any way to block this caller?

OK so I called up the local TD Meloche Monnex office in Edmonton to complain. They investigated and called me back to say that 780-420-2301 belongs to their sister company, "TD Insurance". They said the call was in followup to an insurance quote I had requested online several years ago (true). Per my request, they placed my name/number on the "do not contact" list that TD Insurance maintains. (I will post back if I receive another call...)
FYI #1 - "TD Bank Financial Group" is the parent company. "TD Insurance", "TD Canada Trust" (the bank), "TD Meloche Monnex" (also insurance) are sister companies under the parental company's umbrella.
FYI #2 - I periodically receive inserts from TD Insurance with my bank statement; this is the contact info from one of those inserts:

I imagine you could call the 800 number to get placed on their "do not call" list. Hope this helps everybody.

You will note that one of the provisions says:
"The call must display the originating calling number or an alternate number WHERE THE CALLER CAN BE REACHED (except where number display is unavailable for technical reasons)."
However, when I tried calling the number back (see one of my previous entries), I was greeted with a recorded message stating ("...sorry, this line is equipped for outgoing calls only"). So I think they're violating CRTC regulations; accordingly I think we could force them to cease & desist.

If you have high speed, you can get Primus Talk Broadband. I have my phone set up to block all telemarketers that have ever called me, forward calls to voice mail while I'm at work, and block all calls from 10 pm until 7 am. No more drunks phoning at 2 am looking for a ride home. If you can stand VoIP quality...

just recieved, but I am about to use selective call blocking from shaw, if you have shaw you can block the last called number.
