There was someone who called me from this number and very rudely and forcibly tried to get my info from me

If you get a call like this and answer it just tell them what i did (after i heard it on the radio) I say I am blind and that if they can provide me with the Edmonton Journal (or any other newpaper or magizine), in braille that I would love a subscription. They get very uncomfortable and stammer to explain that they don't offer it in braille, I haven't been bother in years. :)

Go to the Do Not Call list website and report the caller. Simple as that. The more claims, the bigger the fine they will get.

Thank you for actually answering who is at this number. This number has been annoying me but I never get to it quick enough to answer. Now I can ignore it in good conscience.

Why doesn't the Edmonton Journal go after these guys? Or is the Journal part of this scam to get Credit Card Info, goota wonder? Get one more call from these a- holes and I will cancell my subscription.

Received 4 missed phone calls from this number. One left a voicemail but it was just dead air. I just got another call from them and answered it but it was dead air for 15 seconds while I said "hello" then a click. Based on a number of these posts saying it was Edmonton journal, I believe it likely is. I had a subscription to the Journal that I cancelled at the start of this month and the calls i got started shortly after that.

If you are going to call, at least have someone on the line when a person answers the phone, geeze. You say to call the number back to have your number removed, well, then maybe you should clean out the messages, mail box is full, can't even leave a person's number anyways. Also you want a person to leave their number(if we only could) but you don't even say what your company name is when you have your answering system picking up & leaving message for people to hear. I personally am not comfortable doing that, without at least knowing who it is I am calling. Sorry but this telemarketing is crap.

Got this call this morning. Why I answered I don't know...it was local that was why. Buddy claimed I qualified for an Edmonton Journal subscription discount. He knew the first part of my address and wanted the rest. I told him if I want the Journal, I'll call them myself. He said "oh....okay" and hung up. Douche.

Repeat calls from this number.  Caller does not leave a message.

You say to simply call to remove the number. But it is not simple, because the voicemail is full. Nothing ever seems to be "simple" with telemarketing.

I answered this number today since it shows Edmonton Journal. But the guy was just chuckling. Very disrespectful.
