I have worked for both companies.  First off.  Direct Energy is just as bad as Transglobal.  But you can't even compare them for products.  One is natural gas/electricity and the other is furniture/appliances and electronics.  

Second of all, you really need to understand the policies put in place by Transglobal have nothing to do with us girls.  Only a couple people work from home now, and our hands are tied in certain circumstances.  Just because you were deemed unable to be helped because of something with your purchase, do NOT blame the people who try to help you.

TransGlobal Service (http://www.transglobalservice.com/TransGlobal%20Service/index.html) is an appliance-repair company contracted by Comerco (http://www.comerco.com/en/usersection/consumers.html) to do repairs under their extended warranty contracts. They are probably calling you because you purchased an extended warranty on an appliance that needs service and the call is to set up an appointment.

I am an owner/technician with a repair service north of Barrie Ontario and a nice lady left a message on my machine asking me if I wanted to do service for Transglobal Service. She left a 1-800# to phone back. I am not interested and will not be returning the call unless they pay me a salary with benefits and train me on the products they want me to service. Fat chance of that ever happening.

These morons called every half hour last night from 6.30pm to 9pm and never left a message.  How exactly are we supposed to get in touch with someone who wants something but isn't smart enough to ask that a customer phone back?  Thank you to everyone who posted here that enlightened me as to who this company is.  I was just about to have their number blocked by my telephone provider.

I received a call from this number, which I missed. As always, when I have an unknown or unrecognized nuber call, I checked the net and sure enough I find this site. I have never, EVER, purchased anything from The Brick, nor will I. I'd love to know what product they think they sold me that needs to be repaired.

I have registered with the National DNC list and will begin filing official complaints against them as of Jan 10, 2011.

I have been called twice from this number and it is annoying, I really am disgusted with these automated  messages . It is a terrible way to communicate with customers. there is no more personal service any more. Now when the phone rings and I know it is automated I hang up be it this number or another. I wish that they would stop calling , they are getting on my nerves.

TGS is appliance & tv repair company with VERY POOR customer service and VERY POOR repair service. Really it's all a big scam! The brick owns transglobal service & the brick sells you an over priced extended warranty just to screw you around for months when your product breaks down.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY it's a joke, Everyone who works there works from home, They have "pretend" managers who will screw you around worse then the customer service girls.
Upper management is even worse... I spoke with a Stephanie who claims she runs this company... I wonder who she screwed to get the job? The main office is in Edmonton but this scam of a warranty company will take anyones money for a warranty even if they don't service your area.... GO FIGURE?

Option consommateurs wants to sue The Brick.



The consumer lobby group has filed a motion requesting permission for a class action lawsuit against the home furnishings chain.



The group says it's taking issue with its claims of  "Pay nothing for 15 months"  and  "No upfront payment, no interest and monthly payment."



But in reality, the group says customers  who join the store's financing plan have to fork over annual fees of 35 dollars.


The class action lawsuit is seeking refunds of what they had to pay out plus punitive damages upwards of five million dollars.



The group says other stores that have "Buy now and pay later" policies and demand such annual fees could also be hit with a possible lawsuit.

This number is the Brick calling. I went to the Brick b/c I needed a new kitchen table and they said that my Brick card expired so I needed to get a new Brick card.. just sign here and it will give u a new card and nothing would be different from before and that I had 9 months to pay my bill---I then received my bill and I had to pay $35.00 for the Brick card (SCAM) and they only gave me 7 months to pay ..so I called and they said no prob will give u the 9 months but gave some bogus reason why 2 months were removed but would not budge in removing the $35.00 b/c they said I signed for a new card (yeah b/c the cancelled my old one so I would need to get a new one an that way they could charge me and everyone else the 35.00 bucks)and the Brick girl was so f....rude and wouldnt pass me to a supervisor--then I called back and  got the same girl (suspicious) and she said that the MGR was at lunch-I asked for another MGR and she transfered me to a voice mail... Brick is a scam -- for charging everyone now $35.00 and not letting anyone know till they get their bill... and then removing months that they promised so know when will notice and then just pay their bill earlier and they charged extra when late---SCAM SCAM -- suggestion only buy at the Brick if in cash only---

I just got off the phone with TRANSGLOBAL services for the THIRD time and I feel as though there will be a FOURTH!!

This 780-577-4090 has been calling our line nearly every day for about two to three weeks now. I am on the verge of filing a harassment complaint with Telus because of it. The calls come every 5 minutes apart for thirty minutes (6 calls in succession - all with an annoying beep-pause-beep pattern in your ear).

The women that I have spoken with at Transglobal have been friendly and nice (it IS nice to talk to a person and not an automated machine). However, they cannot seem to find our phone number in their system and have, apparently as such, not been able to terminate their incessant calling (It started the other morning BEFORE 7AM!!). Twice they said that they could not look further into it, but would pass the information onto their manager.

Unfortunately, I work the same hours as their managers, so getting in touch with them is a challenge. Also, unfortunatley, I work the same hours as Telus Privacy, so that complaint has not been filed yet. Grrr....

I was puzzled by these calls as well.  It must be Transglobal, I have an extended warranty on a dryer I bought at The Brick and Transglobal is the appliance service company.
This page helped solve that mystery!  I guess they will have my parts to fix my dryer soon!  Their method of notifying customers seems to be creating problems.  Such is the world of gemeric/impersonal automated messages.
