I've received 3 calls from this number and each time I pick up and say hello I get no answer. Time to contact the CRTC and file a formal complaint.

The calls start about 6 pm daily...Monday through Sunday.... I am so tired of answering my phone just to get a beep or have an annoying telemarketer on the other end.
With the internet these days we have the ability to look-up and support any groups and or organizations on our terms and time. The telemarketer is and always has been a form of harassment. I wish there was a way we could make this type of harassment a gainst the law and punishable with huge fines... I'm talking 6 figure fines.

2 calls from this number within 5 minutes! Must be desperate to get hold of me. Ignored it both times because I let numbers I don't recognize go to voicemail. Another call from them and I'll just block the number. Probably the survey like others have said.

2 calls, around 4-Mar-2012.  Didn't get any detailed information from these calls, as it hung up before it hit my voicemail.

Info over on http://whocallsme.com says that this was"Blue City - a survey company doing some political surveys on a variety of topics - mostly to gauge how residents are thinking about political affairs.  March 28 2011".  Other note from that period states "survey about political parties, MLAs and health care in particular in Alberta".  There are some Mar 2012 notes there, but no recent details.

Sounds like a Conservative party fishing expedition, but I have no proof to back that up.

Called me twice in 10 minutes. No response on the other end when I answered. Called back and left a message telling them to stop calling. So far so good

Survey
403-254-2398 - This is some kind of political survey in Alberta - March 2012.
Personally, it is not a very good survey.  They ask too many personal questions (such as how are you going to vote - none of your business).  I prefer to answer a survey about issues than to tell anyone how I am going to vote.
It's easy to ask people how they are going to vote.
What's harder is asking people if they know who you are and what the issues are that you are going to run on.  Why would they do that?  Well, wise residents of a country do not blindly vote for people they know absolutely nothing about.
If I would know which of the politicians initiated the survey, I might be sure NOT to vote for them.
If one of the parties initiated the survey and did not identify that fact, I would be sure NOT to vote for them.
If a candidate initiates a survey, and does not identify that fact, I would be sure NOT to vote fhat candidate.  If I am left wondering which candidate initiated the survey, I would like vote for none of them, or vote for the incumbent because I know who they are.
Most political parties are doing a lousy job of informing residents of their existence as candidates.  The survey was the first I heard of who the candidates are in a provincial election coming up in 2 months.  I just didn't answer the questions, but just let the survey roll on so I could hear what the questions were.  In the end, I had answered nothing, but had learned a lot - like the names of candidates!
More than that - I learned nothing from the survey.
A survey should be entertaining, interesting and informative and make me want to go to the internet to discover more about the candidates.
Most computer generated polls are useless, and results skewed as people will say anything just to give the wrong data to computer.

Blue City (780-640-1093) - Is a survey company doing some political surveys on a variety of topics - mostly to gauge how residents are thinking about political affairs.  March 28 2011 -  They asked questions about how we were planning to vote, if we were not sure how we would vote who would we not vote for; they asked about the carbon capture boondoogle that Alberta hopefully will NOT spend any money on (like 2 billion bucks - it's ridiculous - so make sure you say you DON"t want Alberta government to get involved with stupid programs like that), and questions about your age, your schooling, etc.  I think it's harmless, and they are quite polite - a nice recorded voice takes you through the questions.  You have the option right off the bat to say no thank you by pressing 2, so don't be afraid of the call.  I'm not working for them!
