It's  the Alberta Association for Canadian living. It's a charity looking to collect clothes and household items. They tell you when they will be in your area and you can leave stuff out to donate...no thanks.

I filed a CRTC complaint. This has been an issue for a while now - and that tells me people are bitching about this, but not reporting it. Do something, be proactive, file complaints. Before we didn't even have such a service, and now that we do nobody uses it?

I have reason to believe this organization is attempting a phishing scam; the scam is targeted to people of their native tongue (call back and get a heavy accent). You get dead air because they hear an English speaking "hello" and then they hang up.

Report this. And to those who scan the web looking to see if they are getting reported: f*** you - get a real job, do something else than this crap; a problem to society is all you are, that is your existence, congratulations.

This number just called Edmonton; no voice mail.

They called and left nothing, when the answering machine told them to hang up they just held the redial button for 5 minutes before hanging up. When i tried to cancel it wouldn't for awhile scared me to death.

Getting pretty fed up with them.  Have called four times in the last three days, never even leaving messages.  They may or may not be a worthwhile organization but if this is how they conduct their affairs I want nothing to do with them.  

I am going to get a Smart phone. Then I'll download the app that lets me block these callers. Good-bye to the land line.

So many calls from this number! I called back and got a lady asking for used clothing or household items I asked them to take me off there list!

Could be someone checking to see when your home.

I too called the 800 number, to no avail, still they call and call. So finally, I sent them a number of emails and just got  a reply, that they have taken my number off their list.  We shall see.

Got another call from this Community Living company.  So frustrated that I called the 1-800 number that was referred on this site.  I basically tokd them to not call my number again, told them that this conversation of mine was being recorded, and if they call me again, I would report them, somehow, but will find a way.  So frustrating. I really would like this stopped.  I donate so much to charities, but not this obnoxiuos one for sure not.  Will reporting this on this site even help?  At least they can be a bit professional

These annoying people keep calling me at least once a day. It's either dead air or some machine talking about Alberta community fund or whatever.

Alberta Community Living is not a charity.  It is a government agency that provides assistance to those with any form of disability.  They provide funding, they do NOT fund-raise!  Please be careful, people.  Everyone on this thread should report this number to:  http://www.antifraudcentre-centreantifraude.ca/english/home-eng.html  This is a Canadian federal agency for consumers and citizens to call and they will follow up.

I keep getting this number calling me but no answer it's so annoying Luckily I checked your website and saw the 1-800 number and called all I got was an answering machine which tokk to a Roy Pearson in Edmonton I left a Message to heve me removed.
So Hopefully the Phone Harassment will stop I hate being hounded at home.

I just got the same caller from 780-801-1663, which I didn't recognize so I Googled it and found this BBS.  Thanks, guys.  I definitely never heard of them in my life, but I bet if I'd answered I'd be speaking to a guy who already knew my address.  I think banks sell lists of people to call centers.

Get a Panasonic phone with CALL BLOCK
.-- Once you identify the offending companys phone number that you want Call Blocked...  on any future call/s from  them...your phone will ring once, and then automatically hang up.  I have it...and it is GREAT

Getting this daily. Called back using app on phone and got staticky Indian with ab community living. Next time they call, I'll call back and ask to be put on dnc list to see however that'll go.

My son (3) answered this call otherwise I would have let it ring.  Alberta Living Foundation-asking for clothes, books, toys etc.  Said based on the address when there would be a driver in the area and asking for donations.  The man I spoke to was actually nice but I think there was a delay in him "clicking" in because my son kept saying, "hello, hello, hello."  They had an old address for us on file and I've never given to them in the past so not sure where my name came from.

This number has called twice within four hours; no voice mail was left.
