I received a call from this number on my cell at 5:23 pm on July 17th. I decided to look on my land line call display missed call history and surprisingly that same number called at 1:21pm on July 20th. What are the chances of them calling both of my numbers? I never give out my house number to anyone!!! I only have it for emergency purposes when my kids are home alone. Those comments about scams are real. My dad was targeted by one of those numbers (don't think it was this one tho) and of course being the old fashioned, gullable senior that he is, he truely believed he had one an all expenses paid trip and time share accomodations to somewhere exotic. All he had to do was pay for the taxes (Airport fees: runway tax, gas tax, duty taxes etc.). So he willingly gave his credit card info over the phone.... and they even assured him that his info was safe with them and to check their website for the legal crap, privacy policies and disclaimers. They made it sound so professional and had a quick, believable, detailed answer for every question. Unfortunately, they maxed his credit card before the credit companies could contact my father. They even tried applying for other credit cards in his name using the info he gave them. These guys are greedy mofos and don't care who's lives they could ruin. Its all about how much money they can swindle out of gullable individuals.
  So my advice to everyone who reads this:.....  Buyer Beware!!! Follow your gut feelings! We have that inner voice and intuitions so listen to it and use it. Never give credit card info over the phone! If at all possible, do your research,... like you did on this website! NEVER, EVER let them pressure you to do ANYTHING you don't feel right about! Knowledge is power so if you decide to give these guys your time, make sure you ask lots of questions and pay close attention to their responses.........IF IT SOUNDS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE, IT PROBABLY IS!!!

Got a call from this number this afternoon. No one answered. Did not call back.Weird.

Rec'd a call from this # a few minutes ago.  Didn't answer.  I get a lot of this kind of call since I switched from Shaw to Telus.  Anyone else using Telus for their phone who is also getting a lot of these calls?

Got a call at 3:23 answered but only got silence, called them back lol and its totally a fake recording saying its not inuse lol must be a automated messaging machine or something :P and im in Ontario, Canada.

I got a call from this number saying it's from Air Miles Canada. It was one of those automated voice messages saying I won X amount of Air Miles points and said to accept press 1. I never had Air Miles nor have applied for any. Wasn't interested so I ignored the call. Googled this number afterwards and saw all the other comments.

Robocaller left message: You have been chosen to receive two thousand six hundred free rewards points. Press 1<cut off>

It's a sleezy telemarketing scam.

Computer voice saying I won Air Miles Points... SCAM, air miles said they do not send computer voice messages about prizes over the phone

Some of the job opernings in Alberta are fake. If you apply or email your application for one of these scammer fake companies, first they try to find out if your phone number is working. Then later your number will be sold to other telemarketers world wide. You will also receive scam emails from inheritance claims or lottery winnings from West Africa. What I do is just keep talking to them for a while and act like an idiot for a while when I receive a call from a another country. So he thinks you coaught but eventually it will cost him the phone call. Do not put your DOB, passport copies or DL copies with these unknown job applications. If you get a call from this number, please list it as scamer or block the number. 780 area is Edmonton Alberta Canada

Other than unofficially letting them know you might be gullible, no. :) Pressing 1 likely just confirms your number and they'll call back, possibly with a real person to try to scam you.

Received two calls from this number, as all the others mentioned when you call the number back a recording came on saying that this number is not in service. It probably is a scam that once you push 1 they can use your phone for long distance calls that are billed to you. Never answer this type of call or push 1, even if they say you won something.

Called me to offer free AirMiles. It was a robotic voice and I had to press 1 to accept. Foolishly I did and the call disconnected.. Does pressing 1 do anything?

Missed a call from this number around 3pm today. No msg. I have heard a lot about telemarketers setting up automatic dialing systems strictly to find out what day/time you answer your phone and then they know when to call you back. I bet this is one of those, considering nobody ever seems to be on thd other end of the call

Got a call from this number.  It said it was from air miles stating that I was chosen to receive 2600 air miles.  To receive it I had to press 1.  I did for curiosity sake and no one was on the other end.

Received four calls from this number, all without leaving a message. In Vancouver, B.C.
