Got a text message from a friend that I frequently text that just said "Katherine call 781-452-2071.  Important msg."  I knew it was a scam so I just googled it and found this page.  I never called or texted so I don't know what it said. It sounded strange so that is why I didn't call.

random call from this number (781-452-2071). i thought it was one of my friends pranking me. but the person sounded like an automated voice. started to kinda freak me out saying like i have unpaid parking tickets. but i know for a fact i dont. im a good girl   0:-)

got a typical scam call from a guy identifying his business as copier plus asking for our serial number on our copier.  we have had many of these over the years and were told that they were calling to get numbers to report copiers stolen.  do not know if it's true but every time we get the caller to stay on the line, we try to get the phone number to report since they try to quickly hang up when pressed for any other information as to why their company would need our information.
