The comments here do point to fake "legal settlement offer" calls regarding medical claims. It's advance fee fraud by any name. In the US if you win a damage award as a plaintiff or a class action member, you *DO NOT PAY TO COLLECT* that award! Your legal notices are not going to come through mysterious phone calls from incomprehensible cretins in South Asia.

One more time, a national registry of phone numbers with NO names attached, no demographic data, no mention of income or occupation or anything, is the dumbest place for illegal sales and scam callers to go mining. Lead generation and the steady trade in contact data have existed long before any opt-out list was ever conceived.

they probably get good numbers off of the DO NOT CALL LIST and since they are spoofing someone elses number or a disposable cell phone , they are hard to stop.
best way is to answer it like you are a police dispatcher and they have called the non-emergency number, or some other city or county office
or just keep asking them DO YOU KNOW who you called ?-- this is GOD-- REPEAT OVER and over UNTIL THEY HANG UP. never verify someone at the number they reached has the name they are using! DEFINITELY FRAUD/SCAM  time for us to abuse these losers

My phone rings and I have answering machine pick up.  Once they hear my answering machine, they hang up.  Called 2x within 1 minute.  

A person called from this number claiming to be from visa saying that I have a balance due of $1300 and wanted me to make a payment with another credit card. I laughed and hung up.  They then called back claiming that they were from a hospital and that I needed to make a payment.  The number was the same as the number for the visa caller, both spoke with a thick accent.

Received a call from this number today.  I had read on other numbers about the thick Indian accent and question about bladder surgery, so I recognized this guy right away.  I just kept having him repeat what he said, because he was so hard to understand.  When I got tired of wasting his time, I told him to put a NATIVE English speaker on so that I could understand them.  He said that he spoke English.  I said, "But you're not a NATIVE speaker."  He hung up.  No idea what the scam is here, but it's not a legit business for sure.

They keep calling me and I have talked to them a few times.. Each time I say "For God's sake please stop calling me!"  If I had a botched surgery I certainly would call my OWN lawyer and not use some ambulance chasing people I don't even know contact me long distance.  geesh!!  I blocked this call on my cell which is the phone they have been calling but the number changes now and then.. I wish the Govt or some agency would step in and shut them down.. This is harassment.  I did try to call the number back but it keeps beeping 3 times saying failed call so you can't call them back (because they are a call center)  One time I asked to talk to their supervisor and they refused saying he wasn't available?  

I guess I will just keep blocking the number.. I think it works at least for that day as I only get one call when I do that.. then the number changes and starts over again..

SAME here.  I have had these calls for 6 months.  I have a list of all the numbers....  they are called spoofing and cannot be tracked.  I have heard you can even get an app to do this.  It is awful and extremely disturbing.  I am no call list but it doesn't seem to matter.

I am rec'ing the same calls.  Spoof calls.  They use a different number each time.  Don't seem to want to talk to me, just call and call and upset my business etc.  Used to be a man with a deep Indian accent.

THIS NUMBER,781-964-3152, CALLS MY HOUSE AND MY CELL PHONE, THEY SPEAK VERY LITTLE ENGLISH, CANT UNDERSTAND THEM SO I HANG UP. THEY CALL SOMETIMES 2 OR 3 TIMES A DAY.

I received a call today.  I didn't answer it.  I've had similar calls (based on what others have posted here).  I reported them to the FL attorney general based on the area code.  This one seems to be from Massachusetts.  They pretend to be from a gov't health agency, or medical company, or health organization, or rep for group class action lawsuit.  They also speak very broken English.  I have gotten in the habit of not answering unknown numbers, especially with non-local area codes

I received a call yesterday and asked who they were. He was foreign and said he was calling from the state health department and when I asked him to email me info he hung up on me.  Any place medical I deal with has my email. I'm assuming some kind of scammer

Consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $60.00 or so.

I keep receiving calls from this number 781-964-3152 claiming I had vaginal mesh surgery. Numerous times I told the man on the other line that I never had this surgery & he had the wrong number. He insists I did & becomes rude. I asked him to stop calling & he still does.  Last call from this number was received 4/16/14. I called the number back & it goes straight to voice mail,  with a full box. Please stop this number from calling my house.

I didn't recognize the number when it showed up. I decided to answer the call anyway. Keep getting calls from this number. It is a computer calling because there is a pause when I answer so I hang up. Very annoying.

I do not know who this number belongs to.  I have repeatedly asked them to stop calling me.  The person on the other end gets rude when I tell them I am not answering any of their questions and do not wish to be contacted again.  How do I stop them from calling me?
