Judt got a call from this number but did not answer as I am at work. St. Vincent & Grenadines? Wth

Just received a call, 10:31 am on a tuesday... no message.

Got a call from this number today 04/18/12. Caller ID said St. Vincents & Genadines.

As a followup to "Drew" above:  You actually can be affected by calling such numbers back because by doing so, you allow such SCAMMERS to circumvent the "Do Not Call List" opening the door for them to legally call your number from that point forward.  The DNC list prohibits (for whatever little value that is) telemarketers from calling YOU, and has no application to YOU calling them.  In fact, if YOU call them, even if you were on the DNC list up to that point, you now have removed your number from the DNC list and its protections as to the number YOU returned the call to, letting them use and share your phone info from that point on.  The minute YOU generate the call or return a call back to that number, you give the SCAMMER exactly what they want, free of the federal DNC protections as it is now a consumer-generated call and not a telemarketer-generated call; leaving such SCAMMERS the right to use your phone info such as "valid number to call", "a verified time of day to call to elicit a reply", and even whatever "caller ID number info" they can record.

So yes, there are definitely consequences to calling or returning calls to such numbers.  Most people don't realize doing so REMOVES them from the DNC protections they registered their number for in the first place (at least with regard to the person/company they just called back).  You still retain the DNC protections (such as they supposedly are) with regard to all other SCAMMERS out there; UNTIL YOU DECIDE TO CALL OR RETURN A CALL TO THEM AS WELL.

Do Not Call these numbers back.     Kapeesh???

BEWARE, SCAMMERS.  Just rec'd call from this number.  As*holes didn't have the gonads, much less courtesy, to leave a message.  Morons!    DO NOT PICK UP calls from unknown numbers who are probably SCAMMERS looking to confirm they have called a "live" or "valid" phone number to pass on to other SCAMMERS out there.  Do yourself a favor and skip their call; let them go on to some other number.

The DNC list does not matter to these people. They are using spoofed phone numbers over VOIP. The are harvesting credit card numbers. They will not stop calling, they will only change the number.

I answered and it was a recording saying my credit card rate would be increasing. The recording said  to press 9 for a representative...which is when I hung up the phone. Hopefully I can't get scammed just by answering...?

Called my cell a few minutes ago. I didn't answer-- doubt they left a message. I'm on the DNC list for whatever that's worth.

I got a call today from this number.  It is clearly bogus because there is no number with a prefix of "000".  Don't answer it!

Just  received a call from the same number with the same information... I did not answer it... Sounds very suspicious!

My experience is identical to Sarah's.

I answered and it was a recording saying my credit card rate would be increasing (I do not have a credit card). The recording said  to press 9 for a representative. The company said their name was Card Services. I informed them that I do not have a Credit Card and I am registered to the national Do Not Call list... So they hung up on me.

My caller ID said, "St. Vincent & Grenadines"
