I just had the same number Try low balling me on a video camera I am selling and he said he will send me 1800 for the camera and 80 for shipping... People are crazy these days! How can this guy sleep at night knowing he is a scum bag!!? If I ever met this guy he would not be able to rip people off after i was done with him.1-785-380-7592 Dont do business with this guy!!!

I was selling a diamond ring on craigslist and gave me peggy bruce as the name and when I called number it says its a google voice number when he didn't answer Had a gut feeling something was up. Got a fake email also saying to send tracking number then payment would be sent thru. Logged in thru email and it looks legiate but go into regular paypal and no payment sent.

just wanted to add to the comments above. received an email from a peggy asking about a ring i was selling. texted me from this number and inquired about sending the money via paypal. googled the number and found this page thankfully! told them i googled their number and that i don't deal with scammers so don't contact me again. hope no one else falls for this!

I've encountered this situation twice before from Craigslist and these problems need fixed. Although you can simply check your Paypal and clearly see there's no new deposits for the transaction. The emails say Paypal is taking a new step to safety transactions and will deposit once a shipping number is received but its false. PayPal verified that there are no new steps cause their system is secure. Also notice the bad grammar In the mock emails ;) Be safe my friends...

Me too..  Same thing.  On kijiji.  First an email from Peggy Bruce, then texting to this number.  I hope no one falls for this.  My item for sale is diamond ring so as if someone is going to send me $3000 sight unseen.  Thank you to the others that have posted here so that I could easily confirm my suspicions.

Yep, got me too on craigslist. Total scam. Email looked like it was from PayPal, but it wasn't. Reported to PayPal and craigslist.

Received text, pretending to know me. Wasn't sure if it was possibly a friend with a new number. When Queried who she was, she asked if I used Yahoo chat, and told me to,look her up as textwoman38. Then told me that her phone was about to die. Not sure what the angle was, but no personal information was exchanged to my knowledge.

This phone number (785-380-7592) sent a text to answer a Craigslist ad and offered to pay more for the item and more for the shipping and was confused about the number of items and it was sent by Peggy Bruce.  "She" wanted the item for her fiance and wanted to pay by PayPal and wanted the item shipped asap.  This morning I sent an email that called the scam a scam!  burbon

The email response from Craigslist came from the email address peggybruce11@gmail.com.

I am not sure about it being a legit, or stolen account. That is the response email address giving me the phone number to contact the "buyer."

Received a response from Craigslist on two iPhones that I posted.

He/she asked how much for both and after I responded said this:

"Alright, I am buying this item for my Fiance, i would have love to come over to your place and see it myself but my day to day business activities will not give me the chance to do that and i will love to see pics, I will be offering you $800 for both and $150 for the shipping and i will be paying you through PayPal cos i have a verified account with PayPal so kindly get back to me with your PayPal email or send me invoice so that i can make the payment as soon"
