Received the same call this morning.  I was scared, it was all pretty convincing.  If my phone hadn't disconnected and I hadn't tried contacting yp.com I could have been in real trouble.  Did anyone get the 15% discount offer for paying on the phone?

Updating our yellow page online ad.  When I asked about it, she said the 2010 ad was free, followed by a courtesy ad and now needs to be billed to us for last years ad online for $599.98.  We do a lot of advertising, but not like that.  Scam I'm sure.

Got a call from this number asking for the owner of our company by name.  Of course I didn't let her speak to him.  She said she was calling to renew our online yellow pages ad.  I told her we didn't have an online yellow pages ad...that's not how we get our business.  She said we had an outstanding balance from last year.  She said she was sending it to their attorney for collections.  I said "By all means, send it Federal Express"!

These jackwagons call me several times a day.I know it is a scam I have my number on the not call list but, they still call ..What's up with that????I think it might be from Kansas.

They tried to charge me also for some old advertising listing that I never had. Is there any way to stop these thieves from stealing from us? Has anyone got a bill? I told her I never signed up for anything, and she said she would remove me but they were going to bill me $599.00. I dont think shes the devil,
but I think she works for him. You know a person can probably get a legitimate minimum wage job and make more money, and feel proud of what they are doing.

I get 1-3 calls everyday from 785-392-6251. This has been going on for months now. The second call today was the first time I actually got a live person (all times before just silence, then hangup). The female said the same BS everyone else is complaining about. She finally got rude with me and I returned the favor. This is so bogus! Such a scam! Why can't our government stop this? They have the technology to track down and kill terrorists with drones...why can't they track these scum bags down that are terrorizing callers with bogus claims!

Two calls this morning to my cell phone. No answer and a hang up both times. Clearly this person has been at it a while, from the looks of these comments - which tells me it's being somewhat profitable for her.
If people weren't so damned gullible, this kind of idiocy would stop. If you didn't order something, you have no obligation to pay for it. Consumerism 101, people.
Oh, and if you magically win a lottery you never entered or some random person in Nigeria wants to leave you their life's savings...it's probably a scam. And it's sad that anyone over the age of 10 needs to be told.

I received a call and they told me I owed them over 5 hundred for advertising. I have never signed up for any advertising and they kept changing me to different people. The last on told me that she was reporting me to corporate and then the line went dead. please help find these people becasue they are trying to get money from people who never signed up for this.

I just had the same call on June 18,2012 at 340pm est. These people need to be shut down. I was transfered to 3 different people and the lat on told me she was contacting coorperate then hung up on me. I have tried to call them back but it no one answers. I just know I am not gonna pay anyone 5 hundred dollars. Thanks everyone for the heads up on these people.

I received a call from 785-392-6251 on June 11, 2012, at 8:03 in the am. That's central time. Since I am disabled, I didn't have my glasses with me and had been sleeping as they had awoken me up from a very sound sleep. They asked for the owner. I asked "Who was calling"? They didn't give me their name, only said they needed to speak to the owner of Sunni Day's DJ Service. Myself and my husband live just outside of Nashville. I said I was the owner but we hadn't had that service for a long time. (I closed a few months after we opened it). It was too much for me and too much for my husband as he has knee problems. We did a wedding, maybe two, a party, and New Years Eve party that was it! We went with a local listing in Nashville and had business cards made to pass out along with word of mouth. About 1 month after we had invested alot of money, we sold everything to a much younger man. At this time, I am 59 and my husband is 58. I am disabled and my husband works as always has during the day. To get to the point, This co. called to tell me that I had signed up for a yrs free service with yellow pgs and that it rolled over to the second yr. I have never heard from this company EVER! They now say I own them $ five hundred and some dollars, which I will not pay. Never an invoice for a whole year, never signed up and after reading the comments that are listed, I will not pay them a penny!! If they were told not to do this ever again, why are they allowed to do this............ AGAIN????????. COME ON GOVERNMENT!  DO SOMETHING!!! STOP PEOPLE FROM HASSLING THE AMERICAN PEOPLE FROM THESE FRAUDS!!! ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU HAVE WARNED THEM AND YOU HAVE MANY PHONE NUMBERS AND SITES READLY AVAILABLE TO YOU???????? Just received a call from this number.  Called back, a recording came on stating they were a sales agent for a number of businesses, press 1 to remove yourself, went on to state that removing your number would not remove the number for other businesses they represent, did that received message ~ oh sorry, the mailbox is full, good day.

Also just received this call and then we called YP customer service, who confirmed it is a scam. They recommend calling Attorney General's office to advise them.

I immediately told this caller that any ad they had for my business was bogus, as one had NEVER been placed with anyone. I know this because the business to which she referred has beeen DEFUNCT for at least 10 years and never fully operated. It was dissolved.

"She" became irrate, stating they were never told. In order to be notified, I would have had to have awareness of you and actually done business with you in the first place. Where is the proof? Where is the ad? Where is the alleged Internet URL?

The call is not legitimate. And why would the company not have a proper caller ID showing?

I just got the same song and dance.

Received 2 calls today on my cell. I do not have a voicemail greeting so it just goes to the beep. Both "messages" from this number were static.

Called my business stating that we needed to renew our yellowpagesonline.net listing.  She claimed that I agreed to a two year agreement - first year free and then now they'd be billing for the second year - $599 or something a month.  SCAM SCAM

She didn't have any numbers but she assured me that I didn't want to miss this advertising because I'd gotten lots of hits on the listing.  Yeah, right.

Sick and tired of these irritating phone calls - we are on the DO NOT CALL LIST.  The same goes for GOOGLE which has someone calling from every darn state in the union.

got a call from this number and they ask for the owner. When I stated he was not available and asked who was calling, they just hung up.

caller IDed them selves as yellow pages online, wanting me to say yes to a cancellation or renewal of services, we have no such listing, we solicited no one to represent or advertise for us.

Same as all the others.  Called to renew our Yahoo listing.  Told her we do not have one and to please take us off their phone list.   She said she would refer it to billing to get our invoice out.   Told her "NO, we do not have an account".   She was going to refer us to 'corporate'.

I have received several calls over the last year from this number claiming to be from the National yellow pages. Advising me that i took out a yellow page add 2 years ago and if i wanted to renew. I advised the caller i have never taken out a yellow page add with anyone.  When I question them further they just hang up.

Y'all seem to be describing a type of 'theft by phishing' scam.  If you give them your name or credit card information you'll soon be losing a lot of money in the scam.  Even if they get 200 people to agree and give them billing information, that's at least $100,000 they can steal.

This number just called here in middle Georgia at 12:15 PM.  My message machine answered.  The was about a five second pause.  They didn't leave a message.

This number called our home today wanting to know if we would like to renew an ad in the yellow pages...I told the caller my husband does not have an ad in the yellow pages and when I started to ask questions they hung up on me

No one on the end of the line. Drives me NUTS!!

I received the same call saying I had an ad on YELLOWPAGES.NET (not yellowpages.com).  They are very convincing.  They said we had a verbal agreement.  I challenged them and they got very angry and said the corporate office would call me.

Received this call on 4/18/12 - same story as everyone else stated; I kept asking who "ordered the service in 2010"  wouldn't answer - said she didn't know - told her she was a liar as I knew it had never been ordered - she said she would have to turn us over to corporate.  
DON'T GIVE ANY NAMES OR YOU WILL END UP GETTING BILLED!!!!  This is a 100% scam!!!
She ended up hanging up on me when I wouldn't give my name and kept asking who ordered.

These people should be sued!!!!!!!!  Wake up America!!!!!
