Hmmm...did some searching on the Colorado corp division website and it led me to a company in Maryland, and I googled the register users name, Jimmy Persels.

I found this about him:
Jimmy B. Persels is the former principal of each of the law firms of The Persels Group, consisting of Persels & Associates, LLC, and Consumer Law Associates, LLC. He is a 1966 graduate of the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD, and a Vietnam-era veteran. He also holds a Master's Degree in Public Health from the Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine in New Orleans, and a Juris Doctor (cum laude) degree from the Southern Illinois University School of Law, where he served as Editor-in-Chief of the Southern Illinois Law Journal.
Mr. Persels retired his ownership interest in the Persels Group in 2009. He also serves as the President and Executive Director of the Persels Group Foundation, Inc., a 501(c)(3) charitable organization that focuses its giving on members and veterans of the United States Navy and Marine Corps and their families in their times of need.

Persels & Assoc. website: http://www.perselsandassociates.com/index.html

There is no contact information on their site, that I can find.  I could have the wrong guy, but when you go to the foundation website, this email is available:  perselsgroupfoundation@perselslaw
.com

I emailed them, sounds like Jimmy isn't there anymore, but I would imagine he still has some pull.  Perhaps if he is property motivated he will ask his friends to do something about these calls.

I have asked them SO MANY times to stop calling me. I use my nicest voice and I ask them to please not hang up on me...yet they do.  I have pressed the button to be removed from their list.  I have no consumer debt other than real estate.....I don't even understand why they are calling me!

If our government is able to spy on every citizen's phone calls, emails, web traffic, whereabouts, etc. then how hard could it be for them to track these calls? It's the least they can do after raping our collective bungholes.

Answer? They love their power. They will never relinquish it before using up their 2 billion rounds of hollow points on all of us first.

Get 1-3 calls a week from "Kelly with consumer law" but its from this phone number 701-847-6063. I try to block them on my cell by adding it to a block list I have, but it doesn't work on land lines.

I have made formal complaints for each call  with the FCC.  Today I contacted the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau just to learn that they do not take complaints for scams.  I then called the Federal Trade Commission and made a formal complaint and obtained a reference number for my file.  I am trying tho be as proactive as possible and I hope others will join in and help us be heard loud and clear about this fraudulent activity.

I set up an account in my cell phone called "Acct Services."  That account is blocked so that no calls from it can get through.  Every time I get a call from these scammers, I save it to "Acct Services" so that they can never get through to me again using that number.  So far I have saved in excess of 30 different numbers to Acct Services.  That is not a typo.  They have called me from at least 30 different numbers over the last 2 or so years.  I used to report them but it takes a while to fill out the forms and nothing seems to come of it.

The definition of insanity is "to do the same thing over and over while hoping for a different result."

What makes these idjuts think I am any more likely to fall for their scam now than I was three years ago? Do they really think that calling repeatedly from bogus phone numbers will make any difference?

******Telemarketers, spam, scum suckers -- Righting a blog on these #?s help many people. I for one no longer answer calls from #?s I don?t know. Google the # first, you can always call back. If it?s important they will leave a message. Reporting these calls to the ? do not call ? is a waste of time. Call the FTC at 1-877-382-4357 there you can talk to a live person and report up to 5 numbers, Keep in mind these are Federal employees you will be talking too. Or you can go on line to ftc.gov  ( federal trade commission) and file a written complaint, I do both?.   If we ALL do this maybe the FTC will get the message and do something about these illegal calls.

Geez calm down a bit there. Given what happened in Boston don't you think DHS has better things to worry about than scamming telemarketers??  Just don't answer unknown numbers. If it's important they'll leave you a message and these people never do. And it isn't the phone companies fault. Your number gets in a database somewhere and is shared with all the scammers just like email addresses do.

Technology isn't perfect but the benefits far outweigh the negatives.

Kelly with Consumer Law. New scam. I nicely answered the man's questions as a primer to my explosive vulgarity and he hung up when I said I usually paid my bills on time. Makes no sense. Oh well.

So tired of these guys.  The phone companies and/or the government could stop this IF they wanted to, but it's obvious that they are probably part of the scam.  Phone company should not put through ANY call that doesn't come from a live phone line, just as the internet shouldn't deliver ANY e-mail that doesn't originate at a real e-mail address.  The technology is not that complicated, but it might cut into someone's profits to do it, so they let the scammers keep scamming everyone.

As far as I'm concerned, the sequester should DELETE the FTC, they aren't doing anything for anyone anyway.  Except getting PAID themselves for doing nothing.

BTW, robocallers, the bailout was several years ago.  You need to update your script!

rec'd multiple calls but no one ever responds... irritating AND beyond nuisance level of bothersome

Apparently the FCC (Federal Clueless Commission) cannot do anything as these calls as this and other robo calls from spammers apparently can't be stopped and can't be eliminated through do not call lists, etc.

Call may or may not actually be from Abilene/Topeka, KS are as area code and prefix combination indicates.

I wonder if we can crowd source a hit man to blow up the places that make these calls?  Nah, that would let them off easy.  We should get their numbers and call them day and night and subject them to their own hell.

These scammers identy themselves as calling from "American Express Account Services"  About 60% of the calls I receive on my cell are of this type.  I'd really like the government to track the source of these calls and stop it.  I gave up on the do-not-call list several months ago.  Reporting takes time and apparently has no effect.  Perhaps a well-placed hellfire missle?
