After receiving a call from this # for the past week, daily - I called the 785-735-6099 # and they answered Contact America -  I requested to be removed from their call list immediately - they said it would take 24 hours to be removed from their list. I asked who they were calling on behalf and she said they are calling on behalf of my mortgage or credit card company to offer a plan.  We will see if I get a call tomorrow.

I've been getting a call from this number everyday for the past couple weeks, and they never leave a message, really annoying. So I tried calling back the number that orginally called me-785-735-6099, but I was on hold for a while and decided to try Jessica's advice to call 785-735-6000. The phone was picked up almost immediately and they answered Contact America. I spoke to a gentleman and asked if that first number was associated with them- he said yes that is their automatic call out number so I asked to be put on DO NOT CALL list. He advised me to give him my number and once thats done I shouldn't receive a call from them again. Glory- Hallelujah! Let's see if it's true...if I don't post anything else, it means they didn't call back!

I think the number is for a call center that has contracts with credit card companies that provide credit cards for chain stores such as Lane Bryant and Fashion Bug.
I have a Lane Bryant credit card, so I am guessing they were calling to sell me some crap.

Called the 785-735-6000 extension and got Contact America on the line.  They are trying to sell some promotion crap for Lane Bryant.  I told them to stop calling me and add my number to their no-call list.  The lady said she would take care of it immediately.

Call 785-735-6000 it does work!!. This is the main number for a company that hadles promotions for different department store cedit cards. Just call and they will remove your number from their database.

I called back immediately upon getting the call and was told to call back during business hours.  If they can call me AFTER the damned business hours, they can certainly receive the same.

Been getting calls for a couple weeks i'd pick up and it's hang up. called it back and sat on hold for 10 min.  Explained what was going on and said i wanted it to stop!  Lady said it would take 24-48 hours. I too have a Lane Bryant card so yeah, i'm with all you!

I have recieved this call every day for the past week now. Whenever they call they don't leave a message. I tried calling them back last night...right after they called and this morning...right after they called. I was told the offices were not open. Thankfully I found this. I hate how companies get cell phone numbers.

I have received phone calls from them as well. When the phone rings and I answer it, there is no one there. They don't leave messages either.  I can't even fathom what type of sales business won't talk to someone when they answer the phone.  Completely moronic.

Call 785-735-6000.  It is their main call number and ask them to put your number on the do not call list for their company.  I just called them and the guy said it was about updates on a Fashion Bug Card or a Catharine's card.  Call them between the hours of 8-5 central time.

Calls from 785-735-6099 no answer when i pick up and calling back is no use as it ALWAYS says they are closed.  But - good news - i did get a call from 877-785-6099 and thought "hmmm" so i answered and it was from an existing clothing store cc i have.  I told the girl i wasn't comfortable with them calling me but they could mail me something.  When we hung up i googled the number and the store name and it came up with a suggestion for calling them at 785-735-6000 and asking to be on their do not call list.  The guy was friendly enough and said i would be put on the list. :) Yay!

You can call Contact America at 785-735-6000 and they will put you on their do not call list - this is for a cc company (like lane bryant, catherine's or fashion bug) asking about adding a service.

I have been getting calls from this number and it was like I was hung up on when I answered. but yesterday I seen the number on the caller id and answered and got a response...it is a call center but alot of times if you answer short or say more than just hello the computer thinks you are the answering machine. After the lady I talked to told me this I told her what I thought about it and she assured me I was to be taken off of their call list.

This number constantly calls. Just opened a fashion bug account and just read the other comments, so now it makes sense.  Can't get the jack a**es to quit calling at all times day and night.

I recently opened a Zales account which is granted through Citibank, and started recieving calls from that number. My Credit is not only paid up, its ahead of schedule so that last post is BS. I filed a complaint on the DNC Website and called 785 735 6000 and asked to be put on their DNC list...We'll see how it goes in a day or so...

pay your credit cards! it's a collection agency hired by Bank of America. they have nothing to do with fashion bug.

Re Contact America, If you are already registered on the do not call registry and they still call,  go to the complaint division of donotcall registry and leave your number with them and complain.

The more people complain the faster somethings gets done. When enough people complain they get fined!

Some of the companies they call for include kays jewelry, fashion bug, and credit card companies

People need to realize that being on the Do not call list WILL NOT stop them from receiving calls from telemarketing companies.  National Do not call list ONLY applies to companies that are doing cold calling, it does not apply to companies that you do business with, which mean if you shop at a store, own a credit card, they or their agent (a telemarketing company) can legally call you and they can also sell your info to business partners.

We shouldn't have to call the other number to stop the phone calls - that's what the DO NOT CALL LIST is for.

EVERYONE here needs to go to www.donotcall.gov and file a
complaint every day they call .  I reversed information on
785 735 6000 and it belongs to Proficient Marketing LLLC,
Victoria, Kansas .  The fine is about $500 a call,
that will put an end to them.
