I too got the 'Sun West' version of this message..  For those thinking Sprint somehow got compromised - there is software that can text any group of numbers, and it is relatively easy to find out the cell numbers in your area. Just a scam, and relatively simple one at that - figure out of 10000 numbers in any exchange, you will get a few people actually call..

got same text about american express.  call back number is 303-325-7300.  first they ask for card number, then for expiration date, and THEN for your ATM pin.  obviously a scam.  do NOT ever give out your ATM pin.

You handle it one way and "all of us dumbasses" and "retards" handle it another.  Since this is America, we are (for the time being) allowed to have our OWN opinions and make our OWN choices how to handle these situations.  Apparently you don't agree with that, and feel the need to resort to name calling to expess your socilaist agenda about something so stupid and insignificant.  I don't see how it affects you when "all of us dumbasses" and "retards" return a call to a texted number sent to our OWN phone that we pay for.  Maybe you can find some peace in your life, so you don't have to resort to abusing innocent people on a website forum to make yourself feel important in your otherwise insignificant life!

Sprint needs to answer to their numbers database being compromised. I received both the Sears and USBank text messages.  I haven't heard anyone from another wireless provider yet get these.

Only 1 problem, I have no sears card.  This was a text message to my cell phone.  If you call the number they want your credit card number.  This is a scam.

Yes i have a sprint phone and got the one from sears. I have asked sprint to block all texts to my phone so i will call them later today and discuss this. you might be right, they were compromised.

Why do you even bother calling the number? That should eb a RED FLAG if you know you do not bank at the credit union they say they are or hold a sears account-DUH! obviously something that has been compromised from Sprint~They're a bogus cell phone co anyway~ignore the text messages and certainly DO NOT call the number. It is retarded folks like all of you that even reply to begin with that keep these scammers in business. Complain to the FTC and Sprint!

got the same text regarding Sears card. Don't have one either. I called the 7862065901 number and it just kept saying over and over again to enter account number, when i tried to hit 0 to talk to 'cust service' it repeatedly said, calls are being monitored for quality assurance...but never gave me the option to talk to cust serv. that was another red flag...i wonder where all of these are coming from. would like to report these somewhere...

Same thing happened to me, text talking about US Bank Reliacard and a sears service card.  The only thing is I actually have a US Bank Reliacard for my unemployment benefits, so it almost got me until I checked the back of the card for the REAL customer service # and of course got on here :)
Oh yeah, by the way... I am a sprint customer.... damn sprint!

1st their English isn't even correct.  2nd, we never had a sears account (we also got a similar account from them about US Bank card, never had that either!)

They want you to enter your card information, yea right if they were real they would already have that.  Their "automated system" sounds like a robot and you cannot talk to a real person.  Plus it's not even a toll free number.

I received this call on my cell phone stating that my Sears card had been frozen.  I just spoke with a representative from Sears Credit Services and the representative told me that this is a fraudulent call and to not respond to it.
