Different people keep calling asking for my son who does not live with us.I informed my son and he does not know who they are. When we ask who they want to speak to they give a wrong name and insist they have a correct number for this person. When we tell they have the name wrong they say they are highly concerned and say that this might be a case of fraud. If this is a case of fraud it's a case of fraud on their part.We are careful not to give away any personal information away by answering any of their questions, they are pretty good at sly questions.

Got an account with them in college (sound familiar). Never made a late payment and 8 years later the limit was over 8000!

Came into many unexpected medical bills and had to pay those one month.  They called a few times and We set a payment for the 1st of the month and they stopped calling.

Came into more medical bills and now my credit cards are all on hold till I figure out if I am filing for bankruptcy or not.

Do not try to reason with these people anymore.  They will call you non-stop.  Consider Chapter 13 (which is cheap and easy).  The calls will stop and you will be put on a payment plan by the people in your court district, the credit card company will not be able to charge you interest either.

Some jerks change their phone numbers with the company online to someone else's instead of just putting the number in their phone and setting the ringtone for that number to silent. I recommend you do that as well, as a lot of the people on here are just getting harassed for no reason.

1st Financial Bank Collections; I can't pay right now, they call 8 times a day, and I laugh 8 times a day when their silent ringtone gives me missed calls. Why?

Because apparently they think more calls will equate to more money going into my checking account. As if their telephone operators are giving their own paychecks to the customers. Keep wasting money, I'll keep not paying. They'll be pissed, I'll be happy.

I disagree. I sent my payment last monday to 1st financial bank. I put 12/13/2012 a the date. My bill is not due til 12/15/2012. I am current. They have no right to call me 3 time in one afternoon nearly 2 hours apart.

First time I am late with a payment ever with 1st Financial and they have been calling me up the a**. It hasnt even been 30 days past due and I am getting all these calls from them. There APR rate is a joke. With that high of an interest rate, I will not be able to pay them off. They closed my account without notice as well. But because times are tough, and like everyone else, they certainly are not the ones on top of my list to get paid. AND, they don't even work with you if you are having financial troubles like how most credit card companies do. Horrible company, customer service, and policies. Regret ever opening up an account with them.

first financial bank. Not a collection agency. I'm a customer who was late on a payment. If they're calling, they probably have a reason.

Caller is 1st Financial Bank, I got the credit card (limit 150) spent the limit and started paying on it when I was 18 to build credit. They have since doubled my amount owed and I stopped paying when the amount I owed went well over my limit. These people are horrid, they don't care if you have a job or not or if you have long since paid the amount and interest you originally owed. I refuse to pay them any more, let them report me or whatever, but I paid it off and I still owe double (and according to the latest call, well over quadruple) my spending limit.

Never get a card from these people, they attempt to bleed you dry with tricks to make your limit go way over then start charging you the extra fees and increased interest because "you" went over your limit, when it was their fees for paying online and paying early or late, it doesn't matter which. If you pay a week ahead of schedule you still owe on the day it is actually due or else they say it's late. =/

They can only call between 8:30am to 9pm.  If they call after 9 you can tell them they are being reported for federal violation.

This number has been calling nonstop for the past two weeks. They never leave a message and call several times a day. I do not owe any money right now on anything, and all my bills are current. If it is a debt collector why not leave a message? So who is this?

We don't answer the phone unless the name on the caller ID is someone we know. These calls just say "unavailable", so we don't answer them. So I was looking online to see who the SAM HILL it is.  We are retired, have no mortgage, no credit card debt, nothing. I think I will continue to ignore them. OH - ONE HINT - those of you with babies, etc. UNPLUG THE PHONE when you don't want to hear it ring. THEY think they are annoying you. And if you have caller ID, you can ignore them the way we do! IT's a great way to get to take a nap without the damn phone ringing off the fricking hook!

They call me a million times a day at a constant. I changed my number because they called so much, and somehow they have gotten my new one so the phone calls are going to start again. I got this card when I was 18 to try to build my credit. I only used it twice for a $30 purchase and a $7 purchase. That was 4 years ago. I paid this card off twice and I still owe $250. They want to report me to the credit bureau, and when I tried to cancel the card they told me I would still be owed. The need to be sued and shut down. Accepting that card was the biggest mistake of my life.

Sent my wife (who has the card) a letter last year saying they'd work with her on acct and let her pay it off at a lower amount, called them a few weeks later when we actually had the money, and was laughted at by both a rep and a supervisor and told they didn't have record of sending us that letter.  the next day we received another one.  Are you telling me they send out that letter after we had talked to them and it miracoulsy made it to us the next day?  I call b.s.

Very similar to our situation - bet you started w/ very low interest and great terms for the student card too, right?  And I have no idea where they got our unlisted home number and my husband's cell number! It's our daughter's account, not ours - Grrrrr!!!!

My daughter has the account - they are calling MY home and cell numbers and ignore the fact that I tell them it is not my account and not to call my cell and home phone - she went over her credit limit and paid late for the first time ever and has had the account for a few years - She is a college student - they started the account w/ great terms - low interest, not too high a credit limit etc etc - they raised the interest to around 30% w/ no warning - they are aweful - and the calls started the day after I made a $150 payment myself and then they wanted to know if they could just take a payment out for the rest since they had the account info already from the payment I made!

Credit card reform has not gone far enough and came way too late!

These people are way out of control.  My son applied for this as a student card.  The limit was $150.  I felt that was a safe amount I could pay if he coudn't keep it up.  The next thing I know, the bill is over $1000. Who gave him that limit??  The interest is so high on the card that I've been paying $50 per month without charging on it for a year and his baance is still $800.  I paid the bill this month but they still continue to call my house, his cell, my other son's cell  (goodness knows how they even got that number)  I am so sick of these people.  They are truly scam arist.  They called a total of 15 times today and never left a message.  I found this site to see if I could figure out who the heck it was.  Now I see I'm not alone.  But the worst part is I already paid the bill this month.  They have not cashed the check, but not my issue!  I tried calling the number, but I just get a fast busy signal.

Starting receiving calls last week (Jul 2010). I have never done business with them. I have zero credit card debt and no mortgage, no loans of any type. I am completely debt free. The name they have is not my name but someone apparently gave them my phone number. They just keep calling asking for someone I have never heard of. I have told them that they have the wrong number to no avail.

Caller ID "Florida" "786-217-9720"

If the call goes to your recorder they leave a message to call "866 649-3060". They give no reason for the call.

This is not about not willing to pay - its about not having a JOB because the BANKS killed the economy. They mis-handled MILLIONS of DOLLARS for years and got caught

MILLIONS OF PEOPLE ARE OUT OF WORK -

YOU COLLECTORS ALL LIKE TO CLAIM THAT PEOPLE MAKE A CHOICE NOT TO PAY A BILL - WHEN IN FACT - DUE TO JOB LOSS - THEY CANNOT PAY THE BILL AT THIS TIME.

I keep getting calls from them but for another person, told them over the past months multiple times that this phone number belongs to someone else now, and still they keep calling. Sometimes they call at like 5.30 in the morning and sometimes during the day but it starts to get really annoying.

I don't have any credit cards or debt to a 1st financial bank, so why are they calling me 3-5 times a day? This is very annoying, and they never leave a message. I have a baby in the house and the phone ringing at all hours is more than a bit annoying. I have already had two phone calls this morning. And I too am current on all of my bills. So who are these people and why won;t they leave a freaking message if they want to takl to me so badly!!!
