Hilarious. I just called them back and managed to get someone on the line, a non-native english speaker who was reading through a script the entire time. I wasted so much of her time that I feel better. And it's just one more number my phone will automatically block from now on.

I don't have an address. Can I come pick it up at your address?
"Would you like to pay by credit card?"
No I only want the free stuff.
Finally she apologized and hung up.

Thanks for the FTC advice, person above. I don't get these calls too frequently, and I do owe $125,000 for the college degree I can't find a job for so the collections calls are legit. I don't set up voicemail which has been a huge help. I figure if you make these people feel like they're making progress and then drown their hopes at the last minute, it is about the equivalent of how the world works for average people.

I've taken to answering this idiots and trying to get someone on the phone. Then I keep them on the call as long as possible by feigning interest. The longer I keep them on the line, the more information they reveal.

Such as with the standard BS alarm systems calls. Turns out that the company selling the system is Monitronics. I then filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau against them in Dallas where they are based. Lo and behold I not only got a response from the company but the calls stopped. Of course, they denied being the ones calling even though they were cited as the company that would be monitoring my alarm system if I bought it but the sales calls for alarm systems have stopped. Must be a coincidence.

I've done this with other lowlifes trying to scam and it works. Forget about the filing complaints with the FTC since they never go anywhere. If you get these jackoffs on the phone, feign interest and go along with them until you get the name of the company they are representing. A simple Google search will tell you where they are located and a complaint to the BBB in their hometown tends to get a response far faster than any FTC complaint.

BTW, when they say that they'll take you off their call list, remind them that you were never supposed to be on it in the first place and then file a complaint with the FTC because the business has admitted that they are not scrubbing the national do-not-call registry as required. It's the only way to fight these lowlifes.

Just received a call from 786-224-0030 and there was no one on the line..

Got a voice call telemarketer from this number.  Hung up on the system and dialed back.  Talked with Jason from Medical Alert Services.  I asked how they got my number and he claims from a referral of a friend or family or by purchasing medicine.  I wanted the company information to report as my number was already listed on the National Do Not Call list and I have no prior relationship with that company unless he could prove otherwise.  He stated that he was not allowed to share the contact phone number for the company unless I signed up as a customer.

Sounds like a complete hoax.  Vague reference to 'Our commercial on tv' stated that they did not have a website.

Got robo-call about medical alert device. I pressed one and computer said goodbye. I try to get people like this to come out to my house and turn them down in person.

Robot call from "wireless number"  left recorded message about medical alert device.

received a call from a recorded man offering something, gave me an option to press 9 to opt out, that's what I did... when I tried to call the # back it just says goodbye and hangs up immediately.. go figure...

Recorded message b***s*** for a medical alert device.

pressed "I" so I could give them an earful but then got silence and after 20 seconds or so got a recorded voice saying "Goodbye"
