Got a call. They asked to call back.

Automated message said my mastercard was locked and I should press 1 for service.  I don't have a credit card.  It looks like this scam is being played out all over with different phone numbers.

I also just received a text from this # and it said there was a fifth third alert and to call to fix issue. We just bought a home and our loan is through fifth third. Good thing I looked it up to find out its only a scam. Thanks everyone for the warning!

just received this text and immediately looked it up on my computer and figured this was a scam and sure enough it is.  Also people another big scam out there is when you get out of your vehicle and use you electronic key to lock there are scammers using a digital instrument to unlock your car and they do not have to break in and they now have access to anything in your vehicle.  LOCK your car MANUALLY!!!!

My wife and I just got the message today.  Texted back to "F*** OFF" hopefully some piece of s*** got my reply!  Merry Christmas, right? HAAAA Scammers!

Recieved the message yesterday from sun@vtext.com The Alert stated Your Sun Trust MasterCard is blocked for security reasons.  Call 772-221-8599  I did not call I figured it was a scam since I do not own a suntrust mastercard..  Thanks everyone for the previous posts..

This really is a scam.  We do have Sunstrust and my husband went in to the bank today to tell them about the text we got.  They stated that they do not send Texts.  It is for a debit card.

The hubby and I both got similar texts a few minutes ago and also live in FL w/ Verizon as our carrier.  Creepy.

I got it too. It feels creepy even though I know it is a scam. I hate unknown texters. Thanks for posting so others don't feel alone in the nonsense.

received 2 texts from 0752@vtext.com and office@vtext.com 6 minutes apart about suntrust mastercard being locked. i have no such card. i do live in fl and use verizon as many other posters here.

I got exactly the same text message this morning... its most definately a suspicious number... I have an 850 area code number.. never seen it before... be really careful

Got a text message from this number...saying my SunTrust MasterCard Need Verification....I don't have a SunTrust acct and with the bad grammar decided to check it out...It is a scam.

So is Verizon going to do something about this or are they going to sit around and wait for people to get hurt financially???????

My husband and I both received the text from VTEXT.Com asking us to call 786-228-5737 ext 245 claiming there was a problem with our Suntrust Credit card.  We don't have a card with that bank.

Received same text message from areacode@vtext.com with a call back phone number ... it's bogus.  I don't have a credit card.

Yes you can if you have verizon call 611 and ask for directions. Or go to their website and search and block the text and phone. I just did it.

issue found on Sun Trust master Card. call 7862285737

Received the same text from 904@vtext.com. I do not have any accounts with Sun Bank or Mastercard. Thanks for all of the posts. I'm not responding either.

Yes it is a SCAM. Legit companies do not send text messages for one to reply to a cell phone. area code 786 is a cell phone number.

I'm in FL and recieved the same text.  Also with Verzon.
