Repeated calls... all hours of the day and evening. No set pattern. VERY ANNOYING!

caller id says funcruising.com person says they are with direct tv calling about a past due balance.

Several calls from this number.

Called my home and asked to verify home address and when i refused they hung up. They didn't comply and identify who they were when they called.

this phone number has been calling my cell number for 2 weeks I can't even understand what company it is for but the person they are looking for gave my phone # IT IS VERY ANNOYING AND DISTRACTING ESPECIALLY WHEN I AM AT WORK AT A MAJOR CORPORATION

Have gotten 3 unwanted calls from this number in the last two days on a cell phone that is to be used only for emergency numbers.  No messages.

Getting daily calls from this number!!!! Want it to stop!!

to make them stop?  the easiest way is answer with the a whistle or play porn for them.  It work for me.

I have had 17 calls in 6 days from the annoying S O B's between 8am-9pm! I wok graveyard shift and am just about ready to flip out on someone! They NEVER leave a voicemail and they are out of luck if they think I am going to answer calls from a number I don't know!

I've had my new number 4 days and they've called me 17 times already. No meassages and no live person when I call back. Any ideas on how to get off the call list?

this is Directtv, and they are very deceitful about what they are calling about.

They call me more than 10 times a day, when i call them back they are very rude, said they cant take my phone number from the list, they cant do nothing....

I thought we wanted less government.  Directv deserves to get paid.  Pay your bill.

1-786-279-0996 called and a recording in a foreign accent said who they were, which I didn't understand and then said if this is "and gave a name", which again I did not understand and said if you are not this person press 2. I pressed 2 and hung up. I looked the number up on the net and found this site. I was really worried after I answered it since I did not recognize the area code.

Another example of poor government that allows these calls from organizations that think they can use illegal, unethical and poor manners as a way to communicate.

I have receipved a couple of calls, did not know who it was, looked up the number on-line and found these comments stating that it is a collection agency.  I do not know why they are contacting me, I am not in arrears on bills (I do not even use credit cards).  I would like to calls to stop.  If they have a legitimate reason to contact me they can send me a letter.  If it is legit they should have my address.  I do not want ANY solicitors calling on my phone for any reason.

Why are they asking me to verify my last four digit....

Constant harassing telephone calls from 786-279-0996, caller ID says CBE GROUP, evidently a collection agency but when answered the line goes dead. I am reporting them to the FTC and the DO NOT CALL website.

However they have altered that caller ID, which is ILLEGAL!!!  to say FUNCRUSIN COM when the caller ID comes up.    They are operating under deception and are illegally altering their caller ID code which is a Federal Offense.

Don't take this lightly, understand something, according to the Fair Debt Collections Act -

Collection agencies cannot act illegally, if they do, YOU are entitled to seek up to $1,000 for every infraction they cause to you.    Fight back and get these collectors, in fact ALL COLLECTORS who act rudely, or illegally to pay with their profits.

Make a printout of your incoming calls to show proof or take a snapshot of your phone LCD showing your inbound calls history, if you know a collector is calling you - have a tape recorder handy and tape their entire conversation, if they call you - they are invading your privacy and you have a right to record any of your calls, once they get irate, nasty, threaten... very calmly and very politely say the following:

"For Information and Training Purposes, I have recorded this phone conversation"   They will most likely then hang up, either way - you've got them, if they did ANYTHING listed on the FTC site that constitutes them violating the Fair Debt Collections Act - REPORT THEM!!!

Make operating a strong armed collection agency unprofittable for them and teach them to operate with manners and respect.   If people owe a debt, then fine, however it doesn't open the door for people to then become victims of harrassment.   Copy and paste this information far and wide and make sure you educate as many people as possible.   Knowledge is our weapon to fight back against these b*****ds and put them in their place.

They call and ask me to verify my date of birth or address. I refuse and hang up.They tell me its cbe group its a collection agency.

They called me at 1:47pm while I was on lunch break. I they asked if I the address they had was mine and I dont them I didnt want to disclose any information. They said they couldnt tell me what the call was about without me disclosing information so I just said no and they said they'd get back with me? Wtf. They said like CE something when they answered..

They called and said they were a collection agency for Directv.

its too bad that they try so hard with all these different numbers.  if a name doesnt come up that i dont have saved in my phone...then they're wasting their time.  so sorry directv..  :(
