Second call today. She asked to speak with a name of a person we have "set up" and give out to people who insist on speaking with the owner. Its a completely bogus (plausible sounding name) but it tips us off that the call is a telemarketer, scammer or just someone we don't wish to speak with.
Anyhow, she called asking for the dummy employee, and when I asked what it was about she asked if I was the owner. "I'm someone who can help you with whatever it is you're calling about" I said, "but are you the owner?" she asked. "I will say again, I can help you, now what is this about?" "its about a financial matter she replied - am I speaking with the owner?" she asked again much more persistently. "What do you want?" I said. She said the owner. "I can help you..." but she hung-up while making an exasperated noise before doing so.

3:41pm CST call, no message left on machine - could be a PAC number, Dems and Reps are going crazy over Governor Walker removing state employee negotiation rights.

another call 10:54am 03-24-11, my caller id now shows CUSTOMER SERVICE, left no message on answering machine.

I happened to be home early from work and just got a call from this number (5:33pm CST). I picked it up and said "Hello" a couple of times. After 10-15 seconds the line disconnected with nothing from the other end of the call. I'm wondering if a robo-dialer is searching for live responders at the recipient phone number and then notifying a sales/PAC droid to call?
