don't pick up

I keep getting phone calls from this number with unclear messages and not knowing who they would like to speak to . Another message from a different number asks for my ex-husband who has never lived at this house nor had this phone number. He hasn't even lived in this state! When I tried calling this number back I got a disconnected signal and a message, "Your call did not go through." I am glad I looked up this number so that I don't continue and end up dealing with the same issues Fed Up! has had to deal with.

WHO ARE THESE PEOPLE? I DON'T OWE ANY MONEY TO ANYBODY. FURTHER MORE WHEN I DO ANSWER ALL THEY DO IS HANG UP. I WANT THESE PEOPLE TO STOP CALLING ME.

They just called me AGAIN after requesting that they stop calling. Unbelievable!!! I called back and told them to STOP calling me, and they asked me for my #, I said that I know you have caller ID and stop calling me, again they asked for XXX and again I said that I did not know this person, and that I have already asked to be removed from their database and if they do not stop calling me, I will report them to the FTC for harassment, I was then hung up on. These people are the scum of the earth may they rot in hell!!

Finally after several hang up calls, I decided to dial them back at the 786# that has been calling me non stop for weeks. When I dialed it back, the person, named Michelle, did not even answer the phone professionally, it was just "hello?" Very strange. When I asked who this was that called me, she said are you, XXX and I said- No, I do not know this person, please remove me from your database. She kept trying to keep me on the phone and I said, no take me out of the database. Finally she said that they had to have a "customer service rep" remove my number, and I was transferred to someone else. The next woman answers "Hello?" no professional greeting with this place! Again I asked who I was speaking with and she gave me her name, and said, "Obviously, we are looking for XXX" and I said, "Obviously I have no idea who this person is, and I am tired of the 3,4, or 5 calls a day from this # and want to be removed from this list. You hang up on me when I answer and keep calling back, this is harassment. Then she repeated back my phone # to me and said that my # was being removed from the list and I said thanks and hung up. Now let's see if they actually stop calling me. If they do call, I am going to file a follow up complaint to the FTC about the harassment.

This phone # has repeatedly called and harassed me- most of the time it would just not leave a message, when they finally did, it was for Global Credit looking for someone who doesn't live at my address. They have also called using phone # 905-413-8644 which comes up Unionville, Ontario. The 786 # must be a spoof that they are using to try and get people to pick up, since 786 is a local area code for my area. This company has since left 3 threatening voice mails on my phone looking for info on this person that does not live here. It's out of control and these people should be held in violation not only for the DNC list, but also for harassment under debt collection laws. I have no outstanding debts, therefore I should not receive these calls. As for the person they are looking for, it's not my business what her finanaces are, and it's out of line for them to contact me. I do not even know how they got my telephone # or found an association to this acquaintance. I feel that my privacy has been invaded!
