There is a complete network of criminals making these  calls from "spoofed" numbers  so they cannot be reached or even reported.  They are trying to  get your voice recorded so they can commit fraud  using your "yes" answers and any info you give them.  Your government is worthless in getting rid of these criminals through The Do-Not-Call List....and the phone company WILL DO NOTHING

Step one:  Get caller ID)
Step two:  Notify all your friends and family you will NOT ANSWER ANY CALLS THAT DO NOT HAVE THE CALLER'S NAME ON THE PHONE  SCREEN.  These creeps do not want to waste time ringing numbers that refuse to answer and they will remove your number after a while.  However, the worst ones are those that leave messages on your answering machine... cause you have to  listen to find out who called.  (Sigh).

I blame the phone companies for this misery these people are causing.  The phone companies are capable of finding out who  these people are....after all somebody is paying for the phone service.  Waking people up, interrupting them when they are busy and all the other miserable service  we are paying high prices to  the  phone companies for....too bad a phone is a necessity.

I just received a call from this number and they do not want to understand no.  I never give anymore because the right people do not get the money.  I hate to hang up on people but they give me no choice and I am on a do not call list.

I have had so many calls in the past month that I lost track. Despite me pleading, yelling, etc. to put me on the no call list they still persist.  

Unfortunately, the FOP are considered a "charitable organization" and, as such, are exempt from the DNC registry...:(

Solution: This telemarketing company that has been hired by the Fraternal Order of Police is relentless and has been calling me everyday for about one year. Usually I just don't answer the phone, but now I feel harrassed by them.

The numbers to call to stop these calls in Florida comes from a telemarketing service in Miami: 786-358-5695 (or similar numbers) are:

1-800-873-3671 or RYAN HUNT at 801-284-7208.

If the calls don't stop - file a complaint online with the Office of the Attorney General in Florida.  

Don't even bother calling 786-358-5695 - they will keep you on hold for ten minutes and then you'll be disconnected.

I get a call from this number every day in the morning . I don't answer the phone and they use other number to make the call 497-385-3685; 786-358-5643.The DO NOT CALL is no help on this.I am tired of this kid of calls.

HERE IS ANOTHER PHONE NUMBER FOR THE Fraternal Order of Police.  THEY ARE SPENDING A MINT ON JUST GETTING ALL KINDS OF DIFFERENT PHONE NUMBERS.  WHY SHOULD THE PUBLIC CONTINUE TO DONATE WHEN THEY SPEND MORE MONEY ON OBTAINING DONATIONS THEN WHAT IS TURNED OVER TO THE FRATERNAL ORDER OF POLICE???  GETTING REAL TIRED OF GETTING THEIR CALLS.  IN ADDITION, YES I AM YELLING.  I AM GETTING REAL PISSED OFF.  CAN'T WE HAVE THEM ARRESTED FOR HARASSMENT????

I have been getting calls from here all hours of the day no answer and no messages would like them to stop or answer so I can tellthem what I think when calling back it does not go to the police dept.Just a recording and hang up.

I also have just started to receive phone calls from this name (FL FOP) After reading all of these comments and discovering that this may go on for months, maybe years, I am not looking forward to it!! How can  they be stopped???

Same scam different phone number.  I have to pay for *69. Because of the number of unwanted, unsolicited phone calls, I wasn't even answering my phone. This week I decided to take control back for my phone. These Fraternal Order of Police calls have been going on for years. Repeatedly we have told them not to call and remove our phone number. We are on a DO NOT CALL list but I think it should be called the DO CALL list. When I PAID to use the *69 it gave me the phone number 786-358-5643. When the number is called you get "Your call cannot be completed as dialed V1001".

FL FOP FNDN. Repated calls despite DNC registration. Never anyone there when I answer. Calls have been outside of legal call times for Florida as early as 8:20 am. I wish someone would be there when I answer I have some unpolite words for them. Obviously a SCAM. Cops don't call you and ask for money.

As the others have said they are not the police.And the police get a very small amount of the money.They get by with it as they are registered as none profit,Sure they are.The police mite get 15 percent of the money.

Why can't we stop these people from calling us! Why isn't anyone in authority doing sometihing to trace these cowards!!! Police can see where the land line is. GO AND GET THEM!!!!  GIVE THEM HUGE FINES!!!!!

Many calls from 8 AM until 10:30 PM.  I wish these calls would stop.  Today they asked for Jack.
I normally check the caller ID first and don't answer but today I was expecting a call so I forgot to check the caller ID.

This is very aggravating when you have business to take care of.

Really annoying.... No ans. when u call back... Must be a scam...  Is there nothing can be done about these unwanted calls????

CALLING AND HARASSING PHONE CALLS. ROUGH TREATMENT.

I too am getting these annoying phone calls. I do not answer but have received from three different numbers: 786-358-5695; 786-358-5670; 786-358-5643. Previously I was receiving other annoying calls from organization saying I could get $3000 in federal grant money with energy repairs for my house. They finally stopped when I stopped answering the phone. Now I am getting phone calls from FL FOP. The DO NOT CALL list is a big joke. I figure if these people are calling me with a long distance number it is costing them money even if I do not answer.

I know what you mean I"ve been getting the same calls like 2 xs a day for the last two months and no one will answer when I answer the phone, I've just let it ring and have the machine pick up but of course they don't leave a message and I sometimes just hit the talk button and then the off button right away just to make it stop ringing, I too wish these calls would stop and I don't know what to do about them either.  The phone company is no help on this either.  If any one out there is having the same problem with these calls please advise on how to handle them.  I"m also tired of them coming at all times of the day.  I always check the caller ID too to see who is calling and when I see it's them I just hang it up.

FOP keeps calling my home phone number asking for donations to the Police. The number that is on my Caller ID is (786) 358-5543.

I am on the DO NOT CALL List   my phone number is (386) 532-2975

Please get these people stopped. This is a scam. Why are they always asking for money from people multiple times per year and they call many times per day.
