We have ALWAYS had an unlisted phone number, are on the do not call list, and STILL get these annoying telemarketing calls.  Thank goodness for caller ID - any number not recognized is not answered.  I blocked all anonymous calls, and block telemarketing numbers once I identify them as such.  DO NOT CALL THEM BACK!  These companies use your call as proof of a business relationship to get around the do-not-call lists and continue their calls to your number.  Get call blocking and use it.

yeah they are kinda, not fair, i work for this company and i start to feel bad for people when they are giving you this heartfelt story about how their spouse died and they dont have th emoney to pay for the meds cuz  of the funeral and whatever

Yes, Florida Order of Police....wanted me to give me the number and date of the check I sent in.  Fortunately, I hadn't sent in a check!

Yes they are collecting for the Florida FOP, at least so they say.  The problem is their attitude.  For one they won't take no for an answer or if you have already donated this year as I mistakenly did from my office.  The problem I have found is that they keep calling no matter what you tell them.

They are actually a company called Corporations for Character. This company calls repeatedly (sometimes 3 times a day) claiming to be the Florida Highway Patrol requesting donations. They are NOT the FHP! When I asked for a website for more information they directed me to their website that is for multi-level marketing. They are rude and harassing and even though I told them several times to take me off their calling list, it took a formal complaint to the Division of Consumer Services before they complied. Do not donate to them!

this number 786-358-5573 calls at 10 am and leaves no msg and the ID name says no name, july 26. i add number to cell phone reject list. they think they are so sneaky and call from same number with different extension, on aug 4, now number is 786-358-5581. duh... Lately, the phone has been waking me up at 3am in the morning with ringing like a call, but when i look, there is no number showing up. the last number shown on my phone was this number ... the plot thickens, the mystery gets deeper... I'm not using my precious prepaid minutes to call back people who leave no message! they could be scammers using the FL FOP FNDN as a cover name, in miami FL, as the number is similar to 786-358-5533. Others who got calls from first said number say they are claiming to be the Florida Highway Patrol requesting donations, and are NOT the FHP, but are a company called Corporations for Character. Still, others claim they call and find out if you are home and then hang up. The phone provider is Peerless Network FL LLC.

These people are calling us several times a day.   Now they have it fixed if you don't answer- the operator comes on and says "if you would like to make a call please hang up and try again."  Then the  very loug beeping starts and will beep continuously for at least a minute or two.   Sometimes we can't even disconnect.    This morning they have called 4 times and each time the same thing happened.
We have asked them not to call but the calls continue.  We have a non-published number but somehow they were able to get it. Upon googling the number it showed Fraternal Order of Police...fund raising.

IRRITATED   First go to youtube.com and search telemarketing exposed. It's a 2minute 15 sec taped conversation I had with brian from corporations for character. These are the people thar are irritating you. If they call you again get the reps first and last name with the phone # to call to take you off their list. Then google  Unwanted telemarketing calls and bookmark this so you will always have this page. If they call you again follow the instructions on that page   GOOD LUCK  LET ME KNOW IF YOU ARE STILL IRRITATED. YOU SHOULDN'T BE.

These people call me almost every day and never answer or hang up after two rings. Since my phone number is unlisted, I assume FL FOP FNDN has the number from a previous owner or that a computer is dialing numbers randomly.

After repeated calls, I contacted the Bonneville County (Idaho Falls, ID) Sheriffs office and was advised that "Corporations for Character", the telephone solicitor, based in Murray, Utah, I might add, retains 72% of every dollar donated to the Idaho Falls Fraternal Order of Police. Who would donate to the FOP if the donors knew the percentage going to the charitable organization was so poor?

Isn't there something that can be done legally? My number is unlisted and I have it registered on the National Do Not Call list and I make sure to keep it up to date, yet these people STILL keep calling.  I am tired of being nice and asking them to "please remove me from your calling list"....what else can be done? I am FED UP!

over the years have recieved many hundreds of calls from these scammers, a memorial for fallen officers,bulletproff vests,K9 bulletproff vests,youth centers,make a wish type programs, wheelchairs ,physical therapy etc etc are but a few of the scam approachs i've heard over the years
any day any time of day they call, requesting removal from the list just increases the number of phone calls these terrorists make to me// if i'm not doing anything i'll prolong the calls as much as possible to waste as much time of thiers as i can

That number is from FLORIDA STATE FOP MEMORIAL FOUNDATION;  If you call that number back you will get a recording which will lead you to having your number put on their DO NOT CALL list.
BTW, anytime I get a call that I do not recognize the number and usually it is some sort of telemarketer including people I do business wanting me to do more business.  I tell them to take me off of their calling list.  Not once has anyone not said "Okay" and it gets done.  So, call them back tell them to take you off of their call list.

Get calls regularly from this number. They do not leave messages but call several times per week.

This phone number is calling to do fund raising for the Florida State Fraternal Order of Police. I have called the number.  It directs you to a customer service department that can answer questions, help you donate, or anything else related to the FOP. Also, there?s information on floridastatefop.org, you can contact them there with any questions or requests.
The FOP is doing a lot of really great things for Florida police officers and the people that call are trying to help them raise money so they can do even more good.

This company (Corporations for Character) is a real pain. I have asked them several times to remove me from their list ... When I tell them that I have requested to be removed from their calling list, they say, " I'm sorry, I'm having trouble hearing you, let me adjust my headset" ... I hear a click, the caller says, "thank you" and and hangs up. I continue to receive weekly calls ... this past time I contacted the State Of Florida and I emailed the State FOP Headquarters ... I heard right back from them and they advised they would contact the company to remove my name.

I have been getting calls from this number everyday, since the being of the year.  They leave no messages, and I tried calling back and the number is always busy.  Its such a pain in the a**. If this is a legimate foundation they should be leaving a message, not call 500 times a day.  I actually have not answered the calls, because I wanted them to leave their name so I can call back and complain.  There is a reason why people pay extra to be unlisted to the public.

the FL Fraternal Order of Police no longer use outside agencies to solicit donations.  When this number calls and you answer, the caller attempts to intimidate you into sending in a donation...  don't fall for these scammers

It's not right for this company to mislead the public. They keep 70% of your donation as their fee which was negotiated with the fl st fop. Call your state representative. When you receive a call of someone asking for donations,ask them do they work for the company or do they work for a telemarketing company representing the company. If they are representing i.e. the fl st fop and you send them 100 dollars they keep 70 dollars. The fl st fop gets 30 dollars which is eaten up by fund raising and administrative expenses. This number is a telemarketing company that represents the florida state fop,among other fraternal police orders across the country. The only problem is they keep 70% of what you donate.The police get 30% and most of that goes toward administration and fund raising expenses.The name of the company that calling you is actually CORPORATIONS FOR CHARACTER. How ironic.Your better off saying no to the caller and calling 800-873-9881 and donating direct. NEVERcall an 877# TO MAKE A DONATION.  GOOD LUCK!!
