Got a message from a woman who tried too hard to sound excited (as though she was awarding some kind of fabulous prize) but was obviously reading from a script and ended up sounding very contrived and unprofessional. She said I could pay off my visa and mastercard balances at 30 cents on the dollar. OK, whatever. I've gotten solicitation for debt counselling before but this was the first time someone made it sound like I won a cruise on a game show.

caller said he was with CCS and due to bank changes, wanted to reduce my debt. I have no debts and I'm a Canadian! (assuming the number originates in Florida).

They left a message....for a free credit consultation. They didn't intoduce themselves in the message so the company is unknown.
