CALLED AND STATED THAT A LAWSUIT WAS FILED AGAINST ME AND I NEEDED TO CONTACT THE NUMBER AND SPEAK WITH THEM.

Got a voicemail from a Brian Lincoln knew it was a scam but I called my attorney to let him know. After having a big laugh he told me to call them back and ask four simple questions. What payday company are they calling on behalf of, what law firm. does he work for, where is he licensed to practice and what is his BAR number? I asked all of these questions and surprise, surprise refused to give me any of that info. Just told me he was contacting the police and my job to let them know I was going to be arrested.  Should be fun to see how this plays out.

This is a criminal extortion scam operating out of India. They are making the calls utilizing VOIP and the names of legitimate firms to make it appear the calls are originating from within the US. There is NO "company" or "debt" and you will NOT be arrested. They are harvesting and/or buying consumers' personal identifying information from unscrupulous websites like the one you may have filled out an application with, and you need to do whatever you can to protect yourself. This includes: Notifying the FTC: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/, placing fraud alerts with all three credit bureaus, notifying your bank and employer and letting these criminals know you are aware they are attempting to extort money for a non-existent debt and have alerted the authorities.

This number has done this to us before a couple of months back !! We had to file a police report with our local police. They called and made threat's and body harm to my husband if he did not pay up or he would go to jail. Now it has started up again. They are calling my husbands employer saying that they are investgating some criminal charge's on him and calling his supervisor 4 times every hour on the hour wanting info on him. We did not start getting these call's until my hubby applied for a loan on line threw a web site. Well they now have his SSN number we had to close all our bank accounts and change out phone number's. These people will call you non stop.......... ! we now have to file another police report. We have filed a complaint with the FBI and they have never called -emailed or send us a letter. If you are getting these call let your employer know right away ..........  and file a police report with your local dept. They are also using the name MR. Brown and a few other's. DONT GIVE THEM ANY INFO.......................... !

It's about time someone mentioned that the *real* Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3) is run by the US Federal Bureau of Investigation. It's one of several fine places to take your complaints about dirty dogs like these South Asian extortionists who pretend to be collecting your bogus debts.

The IC3 name has been "borrowed" by some of these thieves to make themselves sound legitimate. They otherwise make up some ludicrously officious name, like the "United Financial Crime Department of Federal Fraud Investigation, American Legal Processing Division".

I had to deal with this in the past. Back then I thought it was legit because I did take out payday loans in the past. I thought maybe I let one default and believed these guys. I had even set up an auto draft for them to take money from my account (like an idiot). Something didn't sit right so I called the actual loan companies I had dealt with and confirmed that they had all been paid in full and closed. So I immediately did some googleing and found out I had been a victim of a very common scam. These people are overseas, they have access to our info from all the availibility online these days. They take a shot in the dark and see who bites. I contacted the credit bureaus and placed alerts on my credit report, I also contacted my local police department and filed a report. I closed my bank account and opened a new one, and changed my cell phone number. Then called them back and notified them of all this and they gave up on me. Now I have a new guy calling my new work phone number, apparently my name is out there and they skip trace and get any new info they can and try it. I have now filed a complaint with the FBI and I plan to contact my local police department to update my report. I plan to keep myself protected.
BIG QUESTION: how do I get these FOOLS to stop calling!?

This b*****d called us about a hundred times today asking for a manager and called me a liar, so i hung up on the b*****d. Then this moron kept calling and harrassing me like a schmuck playing with his pecker. Ain't he ain't no Brian Lincoln, i'll tell you that much. He's more like a Abdul jabib jabar if you ask me.

I got a few calls from this number and yes heavy middle eastern accent and told me I had got a loan and never paid the loan off in the beginning when I believed this I had told this guy I don't get paid until the first of the mo th and he said as long as I paid $250.00 then that was fine and then when we had talked after that he had stated he had said no such thing and I had to give them One Hundred Dollars that day and one thing that caught my attention was he had stated once I gave him the One Hundred Dollars that day he didn't care how I payed the rest off. Now what kind of Professional Business or Company does that come on now?

I also got a call from Brian Lincoln who told me the exact same thing for a CashNetUSA account I had from 3 years ago that has been taken care of.  OMG he was so rude.  I called CashNetUSA and talked to their fraud department who put me on a 3-way call and called Brian.  He answered the phone saying Brian and the lady from CashNetUSA was very nice to him and he was sweet as pie until she told him who she was and to not call me because we were aware it was a scam. All of a sudden, he wasn't Brian and we had called McDonald's and did we want delivery?  OMG....and here I was freaking out about what the heck I had done.  He never did get to where he was asking for money as I was continually asking him questions.  He had called my work also and left a message.  I find this so offensive to put my work in jeopardy.  Can't someone file a legal suit against these people?

Got call from this number dude sound like middle east guy telling that I have 3 criminal charges against me lol, this moth******ers have lot of time to waste. His name was Brian IC3 a***ole don't come in front of me I ll f*** ur a** up a***ole,instead of hare sing people go and get some job and work ur a** up. U mother f****r middle east moth******r .....

Received a call from this number - on my work phone from "Brian" with a heavy middle eastern accent saying he was from IC3. I have 3 criminal complaints against me and I should not ignore this call. If I don't call them they will come to my job and arrest me and I will have a big legal mess.

Received a call from this number - on my cell phone and then my work phone (did not answer either call) from "Brian" with a heavy middle eastern accent.  He left voicemail messages on both lines and said he was from State Attorney's Office and then IC3. He said I had 3 criminal complaints against me, I should not ignore this call and it was time sensitive. They just don't give up!!

Caller tried to tell me i had 3 criminal charges against me for an unpaid Cash Advance loan I played his game for awile because I could smell out a rat from a mile away. He is sending the police to come get me tomorrow unless I pay him. I called him back with a blocked number and as soon as I told him my name he laughed and hung up. When I called him again, oh no I wouldn't be harrassing him back, he answered in a girlie voice and hung up.
