I just got a call from a guy (phone number 786-576-1299 in Florida) claiming to be with microsoft tech support. He wanted me to log into my computer as he needed my registration information and other data, I asked why, he stated there's a new virus out that attacks microsoft users only, and said he was calling to help me 'save my infected computer'.

I told him I would have to call him back and hung up ( Sorry, not giving ANY data to a strange voice on the phone lmao) I did a check on the number he called from, found literally hundreds of posts/warnings of varied scams, IE: stating they are from banks and need info to unfreeze their accts, from mortgage companies needing social security numbers and income info to update file, credit card companies telling the people their accts were stolen and needed all their private info etc etc.

DO NOT tell these morons anything, you are being scammed!

Same here, they called my home and cell.  I do have accounts with this bank but was smart enough to call them first.  They said, DO NOT RESPOND!  I turned the numbers over to them.  Thanks everyone for posting these messages.

The automated message said it was First Hawaiian Bank informing me that my account had been frozen and that I needed to "Press 1" to contact their security department to reactivate my account.
I do live in Hawaii but I have no First Hawaiian account so I hung up. I would have hung up anyway as the call is from a Miami area cell phome.

An automated message called my wife (home phone) saying it was from Chase and that my debit card had been frozen due to a potential fraud issue. Wife called me at work. I called back and was asked to follow phone tree steps to get it unfrozen. I hung up, called Chase.

Their security department described this as a probable phishing scheme to get SS#, then credit report, then steal my identity (and access the credit card they already seemed to have knowledge of). Chase claims "numbers such as these do not allow them to trace to the probable criminal. The Miami number when traced likely ends up external to the US". When Chase security called, and I attempted to call back second time, automated system did not respond as a valid phone number. Weird. Stay away from this phone tree!

Got a call from 786-587-6357 at 12:05 AM on my cell phone.  I was sleeping (as was my 4 year old) so I did pick up just but I accidently hung up.  I didn't recognize the number, so I figured it was a wrong number and if it was important someone would call back.  No call back.  This is a great service btw.  Thanks!

Received a call on my cell last night at 11:28 p.m.!! (only family has the number so I answered without even looking at the number) was a computerized voice saying my mastercard account has been frozen. I hung up at this point and called my bank this a.m. No problem with my account so obviously a scam!! There should be a way to stop this kind of senseless harassment, I was scared stiff when the phone rings that late at night and my teenage son not home from work yet!

Just got this call and automated message on my cell phone.  It said my debit card was locked, and that I needed to follow some steps to get it reactivated.  It sounded fishy, so I hung up.  I see from the other posts that my instincts were right.

It was likely a telemarketer. The numbers are dialed at random with a computer and it waits for a "hello" on your end before the person is connected. That's why there's often a delay after you answer.

I received a call from this number.  Since I didn't recognize it, I let it go to voicemail.  All I heard when listening to the message was silence.  If this was legitimate, they would have certainly left a message.  I agree...likely a scammer.  The fact that they didn't even identify themselves was odd.  And how they got my cell phone number, I don't know.

My wife got a call from this number saying it was first Hawaiian bank and our account was frozen and we needed to give some info to reactivate it. Oddly enough we don't even have an account with first Hawaiian bank. I called first Hawaiian bank to notify them and the message machine that answers warns of this scam right away. So they are on it.

I got a call from them at 9pm last night.  I called Bank of Hawaii to tell them.  I was on hold for 38 minutes, and then transfered to "their Securtiy Section" to report it.  I was told not to worry about it, it happens all the time.  Then he asked me where I was located.  I tod him I was in Hawaii, and he said   "THANKYOU FOR CALLING BANK OF AMERICA".  I said Bank of America, I thought I was talking to Bank of Hawaii, that's who I called!  He said that they were the same company, just different name.....  I'm closing my account tomorrow!

I got phone called from 786-587-6357. It's automatic phone calling to notice that my First Hawaiian Bank account has been lock for security reason and please press the ext. number to contact them or call them back.

I hang up the phone coz..  I hang up their phone, then call to the customer service of the bank but it's the Halloween weekend difficult to contact the bank.
I have checked with my online account, there's not thing wrong with my account.
I am quite sure that number is the scam.

Please be aware and don't response the calling.
