This person did not identify the company, but last name was Emmanuel. He told me if I don't call back or he doesn't hear from my attorney then he wishes me good luck as this situation unfolds on me.  Then he said to call right back or disregard message.  The phone number was at the beginning and was cut off.  I don't appreciate the threatening message and from what I've read from posts this may be over a cash loan (I paid back but I think they kept my information).  I received threatening calls like this from someone else years ago, saying they were issuing a warrant for my arrest and would send someone to my work. When I had an attorney call them they backed down and stopped.  I think they sell the information because when the attorney asked them for information (I.e. Contract), they only sent over a form with my name typed on it.

I got the same kind of call from these guys today - after a little research I called back to dig a little deeper. They got mad when I asked for their address, and they gave me an address to a law firm in Miami..... Called them out on it, and they said hey there's a lot of attorneys here.......

I received more of these same type of calls today. I had received these calls off/on for months, now their back to calling countless times a day w/the same wording, "do not disregard my call, if so all I can do is wish you good luck as the situation unfolds for you, etc" They never say what company their with. I've researched the number a bit, it's showing it's most likely a spam robocall type of system. I did however call the "Middle-Eastern" male back and mentioned the FBI was tracking his calls to my phone. He suddenly hung up. Time and days will tell if I receive any further calls. They are relentless, pushy & harrassing!!! I wish I knew what could be done and who else to report this "company" too. The Do Not Call website can only do so much. REPORT 786-629-6223!!!!

Some robo call from a bogus debt collector. Don't let their scare tactics fool you. Just hang up, and if your phone supports it, block the number.

Okay, here's how to block this scammer... If you have an iPhone,  that is.

Go to your recent calls and tap on the number, in this case 786-629-6223.
Tap on the "info" button next to the number on the right side of the screen.  It looks like a circle with a lower case i in it.
Then scroll to the bottom of the info menu and tap "block this caller".
It will ask you to confirm the block, agree and you're all done!

I got the same message.  It was a little cut off at the beginning, but it was from a guy with an accent saying "My name is Peter Emmanuel.  Now, if you don't return the call, and I don't hear from your attorney, either, then the only thing I can do is wish you good luck as the situation unfolds on you.  Call me right back and do not disregard this message.  Thank you and have a blessed day."  It was vaguely threatening, and I'm not at all happy that this scammer has my phone number.

Prank Call
I received messages from 786-629-6223. Telling me not to ignore the call and if myself or attorney doesn't call then the events will have to play out and he ends with god bless.  Sounds like a recorded message.  I did call back the number and got an individual I couldn't understand to well telling me something about getting sued because I funds were suppose to come out of my account for a loan I took out on some credit website.  wouldn't tell me the name of the company.  I hung up.   We called the Sheriffs dept and he came out and called the number and told him who he was and asked to speak to a supervisor and asked what his credentials were.  No supervisor to talk to just him.  Asked for the address and that's when he hung up on the officer.

It's not real. You cannot be jailed for unpaid debts in the United States. Demand that they send any proof of debt to you via certified mail (DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR ADDRESS "SO THAT THEY CAN MAIL YOU PROOF" any company collecting a legitimate debt will already have your address!) and tell them that they are no longer allowed to contact you over the phone. Do a bit of research, there's a lot of helpful stuff on this site about the laws that protect you. These people are just trying to scare you into paying them, and in all likelihood they have absolutely no claim to anyone's debt, they're just terrorizing innocent people to get easy money.

Just received a call from this guy saying if I didn't send him 300 dollars today that I would be served a warrant and supeona on Friday.  They knew where I use to work my address my email and the last four of my social. And what bank account I had received the funds to while employed on that job.  Now that's scary. There was a real bad echo in the back ground and I got transferred to two different people because I told them I didn't know what they were talking about. How do I report this?

These guys dont give up.  i turned them over to the Attorney General.  They took their phones away so then after about a month they back under a different phone number.  Saying the same thing as everyone else.
They called me at work and my boss answered.  She told him to stop calling as this was a place of business and would be reported to the police.  She had me fill out a police report but then I also got written up for receiving calls at work.
Nowwwww, once again they are calling.

1st off dont pay anything until you have something in writing from a so called collector!  Anyone can claim that they are a debt collector but if they cant send you something in writing about your bill then dont mess with them.  This so called American Law Associates called me at work today.  I dont have and have not applied for a loan from anyone anytime soon so they must pull your information from the internet some kind of way.  Yes they verify the last four of your ssn but I think thats all they have!!!  Dont give them anymore info then you need to.  I told the guy its ironic that its American Law Assoc but yet he can't speak ENGLISH!!! They cant tell you the amount of this loan the date the loan was taken ...nothing pertinent to obtaining a debt...so PLEASE dont go buy a GreenDot card and give them your money!  That smells of scam...I used to have payday loans in the past and have not had any in years so I know this is a scam. Im sick of every couple of months some a**hole scammer comes up with a plan to harass me by saying I got a loan I didnt and I need to pay..so they spout off old bank info, job info, my last four ssn and email address to me to scare me.  So I ask alot and I mean alot of questiosn..they dont like that..they hang up...so I keep calling back...and I did this to them...eventually they stopped taking my calls and the message stated "the Verizon customer is no longer taking any calls" or "the number you're calling is not working".  They know that I know this is bs!  You want them to stop bothering you...you harass and embarass them like they do you...they will leave you alone!!!!!

I told him I do not have a payday loan and the last payday loan was paid in full and not to call my work again and hung up. I want to know how he is getting my name, # and last 4 of my ss #
