has called a couple of times, we've never picked up

I have received numerous calls from this number.  On my caller ID it shows D. Boyer.  Tonight I answered the phone and it was a man calling about the Florida State Trooper benevolent association.  I asked him if they were looking for a donation and he said yes.  I told him I have been called frequently by this association (which I have on many occasions) and have asked to have my name removed from this list.  He said there are different organizations, however he will remove my name from the his list.

I believe it is Florida Association of State Troopers (FAST). They also use 1-786-866-2525, 1-786-876-2529, 1-786-876-5407, 1-786-876-2533, 1-786-5400, 1-786-866-5411 and probably a host of other numbers with 1-786-876-XXXX

This is a telemarketing firm operating out of Miami, Fl.  They "represent" various charities and your caller ID may say "out of area" or may give a fictitious name such as those described.  Mine said "D. Boyer."  What you should know is that when telemarketers initiate "contracts" with charities and then begin to call numbers from an automated directory.  They will try to get as much money as possible and only have to give about 2% to the charity.  Furthermore, there is a "minimum amount collected" clause which allows them to keep everything they collect if they don't reach a certain level.  Collecting for "state troopers"...sure, they might be collect $10,000 but if their minimum clause says $15,000 they don't have to give a dime to the targeted charity. In addition, if they do give money to a "charity" it could be in another country.  So they might send money to Mexico, India, Canada, etc. It just depends on who they contract with.  NEVER give any money to a "charity" that calls on the phone.  Give money directly to the charity of your choice via mail or internet. Legitimate charities don't use these people.  It is a way for the telemarketing company to make a fortune and get around the "Do Not Call" law.

They called my house and my Dad answered it, he's too nice! They claimed to be from Palm Bay Florida and raising money for State Troopers. Tried manipulating my Dad into making a committment over the phone to give a donation. My dad is way to trusting and gave his name and address for them to mail a postage paid envelope!!

I looked up the area code and they lied it is not Palm Bay FL. That area code is southern Florida around Miami. Liars about where they are calling from and Im sure liars about the whole State Trooper thing.

Caller Id says D Boyer and we've been getting calls for months now but never any messages. We are on the do not call list, so whats up?

               The number is a land line for Paetec Communications, in
               S. Fla. and based out of Rochester, NY. Paetec is some
               sort of business communications/ IT  service.
               No idea why they would be calling me.

I keep getting calles from G. Scheider 786-866-2541. I have called this # back and been told the # is disconnected.  WHAT??  This ignorant anus calls my house muliple times during the week at all freaking times of the day! They never say anything....I finally just started pushing "mute" on my phone and they think I hang up so they hang up too.  I'm soooooo tired of this phantom caller!  If anyone knows who the freaking holy heck this is PLEASE let us all know.  For all we know the anus that's calling us is searching this forum daily....pleased with his prank phone calls!  PHANTOM CALLER WE WILL FIND OUT WHO YOU ARE!!!

This b*****d keeps calling once a week and hangs up. Caller ID states G. Schneider 1-786-866-2541. When calling back the number, a recording states "The number you have dialed has been temporairly disconnected TUAMI20"
