just called me and told me i got a 7,500 grant and all i had to do was get a money pk for 149.00 and fed x would give me my check almost  fell in to it if it wasent for my son

I just received this call and call back and said I knew they were a scam and he called me a bi*** and told me to get off his line. they r a scam. Now that they have my address Im worried that they will retaliate because I told them I was going to report them

My 20-yr-old daughter just got the same call. She, as a college student, was thrilled, but thank God I've trained her to check into things before she goes for it. I'm about to call the number and chew some a$$. Not because it will do any good, but because the mama bear in me really hates it when someone tries to take advantage of a trusting young person.

"You applied for a grant for to pay your bills last October. You have been approved for a government grant that is free for you and you will never pay back this grant because it is a government grant. You can use the money for anything. It needed to be a green dot money pack. #0926 is the ID number. A FEDEX boy will come with your government cashier check. You can use it for anything and you don' have to pay it back".. blah blah.

I attempted to notify FEDEX about the use of their name for fraud.. the person I spoke with didn't seem to care. I guess they must get allot of  calls about this. I tried to give information like green dot thing and their phone number. No response except if I needed any FEDEX account help and if not thank for your call.

They got me! Lost $780

They are Indian scammers who (1) buy information from a variety of sources,legal and not legal and / or  (2)  Use a robot dial er to start calling people in designated area codes in the US and Canada and hope they find a victim.

They prey on single women, single mothers, the elderly and members of the Indian community as well as recent immigrants.

Ignore 'em.  Don't talk to them; don't give them ANY KIND of information!

Google your name, phone number and address. Anyplace like spokeo that shows up, make them remove your info. If you have FB or forums, make sure all your personal info is set to private or don't fill out the profiles. Also read this:

I received the call today. Grant for $6300. Told me that I will have a delivery boy at my house within 14minutes of buying my green dot card. To call Adam as soon as I go to Kroger. Only problem is how do they know my phone number and address?

Just got off the phone with "Sam Holly" got very irrate because my wife and I won't go get a money pak card. the obvious is it was a scam they said we won a grant but can't send the check until I gave him a money pak card. Called him out on the scam he hung up and called back and began shouting profanity in our voicemail.

There's no loan.  They are Indian scammers trying to get money and personal financial information.  No legitimate company is going to loan you money over the phone.  Total scam.  Ignore 'em.  Don't give them any money or financial information.

They just called me and told me I had been approved for a $6,300 Grant saying they are from the US Grant Department, the man I talked to when I called back said his name is "Adam Smith" the man had a very heavy indian accent and told me that a man would deliver my check for a $149 Delivery fee

Getting multiple calls daily from this number.  Today I answered.  No one spoke, then they hung up. I've also been getting a lot of calls from numbers from all over the country.  

Received unsolicited call from 786-991-2744.  The 9th call of the day from various loan scammer numbers.  They were calling for whoever had my current number.  Only option is call blocking.  

Thanks for the info everyone, husband said this number calls everyday but we don't answer it, and obviously never will!! may change my phone number again. Ive had other places call as well telling me I was approved for thousands of dollars and I just tell them no thanku, not interested,,

something close to that happened to me only when i gave them my bank info ( thank heavens it was a brand new account...) they tried to deposit a fraudulent check into it and now i am not allowed to use B of A for any reason for 7 yrs.. with no investigation. they said the decision was final.

This number keeps calling me today. I am not answering it, but it is coming in with a stream of other calls from all over the country. Always a scam.

I've been getting calls from this number at 7:40 am for the last two days and when I finally said they're breaking the law the guy in the phone who refused to identify himself our his company said they were not breaking the law because it was already after ten there. I asked to be removed from their list because I refused to work with a company breaking the law and the male caller got offended and hung up.

I just got a call from this very same number and when I wouldn't give them my bank information they said you are approved for 5,000 don't you want it! I told them go f*** yourself and hung up on them. Then 2 seconds later the same number called right back and I let it go to voice mail and when I listened to the voice mail it was the very same guy with a very heavy India accent and said in his message that he is going to send m file to the FBI and they are going to come and arrest me. I just laughed after hearing that message.

I was contacted by this company offering a payday loan. But in order for approval I was told to place my first payment on a green dot money pak card. Upon doing this the company placed me on hold to verify and transfer funds into my bank account. I stayed on hold for 20 minutes. They then returned to the call and notified me that my bank transfer could not be done without showing a fund available of $410.00. When I explained I did not have this and to cancel the transactions I was told that they had taken my $135.00 from the green dot card which would be refunded after 45 days. After becoming irate they pretty much took on this "oh well too bad" attitude. They said that money was now with Bank of America and they could not do anything to return my money sooner. They also refused to let me know the account number they sent my money to with Bank of America so that I could contact them. Please beware...this is fraud! Its sad that they got away with this because I needed the money and now I am further behind.
I must admit I feel stupid

I Gave them my information as they said I was approved for a loan up to 4,000 but had to get a money pack to send them 200.00 first .  Loan ID  1015 James cooper EXT 103  phone number they caled me 1-786-991-2744.   They seemed to ge in a hurry to get me to CVS to get this money pack to send them and said it would only take 45 minutes to put money in the bank,
I did give them my banking account routing and checking account number not realizing it was a scam.   I haven't sent them any money though, They said that my credit score was low so I had to have someone to prove my credit worthyness.  So that is why they said I needed to send them 200.00 which I have not done.   I hope they dont try to draw any money from my checking account.
