Called on my cell phone. Bogus claim about my auto warranty is about to expire.

call received 2-4-08 at 5:13 pm Pst. Did not recognize number, did not answer. Left no voice mail.

Everyday for about two months.
No message.

800-111-1114 ,I had a message from this numner , about a matter of credit card.
I called back but noone answered ..

I get these calls several times a day but it shows up as 507.345.5596.  I have pressed 1 to speak to an agent FOUR different times and asked them to remove me from the call list.  Today when they answered I said I wanted to know what company this was for so that I could report them for spam harrassment.  The jerk said he would remove me from the list and I told him he better not hang up on me, which he promptly did.......

I am on the do not call list and still getting these, so I don't know why you guys think that will stop fraudulent spammers.  These guys don't say what company they're from so they are obviously commiting fraud by trying to trick people into buying a warranty.

i too got the call at work, and i followed the prompt and asked the guy about the first warning that i apparently missed and acted concerned that i'm about to miss out on my warranty. and then asked how could it just now be expiring when the car is 12 years old? he said it was just a courtesy call. and i was like "so like SPAM?" he went..."uhm....yeah" i then asked to be taken off the list. he said he would, i doubt any change took place.

i got a second call today from a different work line, this time they hung up on me.

Awesome!  Everyone should call him and leave a message about his car warranty expiring!

Ok, I am EXTREMELY annoyed by these calls now.  I was already getting like 3 calls a day from them (never answer just get the voicemail).  It is always the final warning.  Yeah, I wish.

Anyway, I am out of the country right now and I checked my voicemail and have like 75 messages from them.  I hope these people get in trouble!

Got this stupid 1-800-111-1114 several times. Today got call from number 1-408-587-2132 with the same voice message about car insurance. I call back this number and get a very short recording then it hang up. Anyone out there can deal with these anoying business people??

Yeah, this guy called me trying to sell me an extended warrenty. I told him I will NOT give him any of my personal information until he gives me all of the company information.  I knew that it was something fishy going on, because when I asked for the company website and email address he clamed-up, then hung-up. Sorry Great Atlantic Warrenty, but I am not a sucka!

Called and I didnt pick up but tried to call back and it said this number is not a working number

Got a call from 800-111-1114 didn't answer it but called back later got a message saing can't be conpleted as dialed

just got a call went to answer saw the number figured i wouldnt answer,googled instead glad i did.

I did recieve a call on my cell from 800-111-1114.  I hung up right away, so I didn't hear the full message.  From what I gather from other comments here, that its do with car warrenty.  I have gotten some calls from 623-238-6228 which was the same thing. Comments on that number said that those who managed to reach a live person got the run around.  Complaints can't be filed until your number has been on the Do Not Call list for a least a month.  I already had my home number on the list, but when I started getting these cell calls late last month, I added my cell to the list.

They keep calling my wife's cellphone. Her "car warranty is about to expire." Well, duh! The car is 18 years old. The warranty done expired a looong time ago.

Do what I do. Report EVERY call to the FCC as a violation of the DO NOT CALL LIST.

It won't do any good while George the Second and his FCC appointee are in office, but I'm holding out the both will be history soon and Democrats will actually enforce our laws rather than ignore them.

That is exactly the same thing I got when i answered the phone.

Got a call from 800-111-1114, recorded message that my car warranty has expired. It is the same caller from 623-238-6228 as they offer the same thing. I hang up after hearing about the car warranty scam they are trying to pull. I don't understand why they waste their time and ours. Best thing to do is to ignore it and let it go to voice-mail. If they don't leave a voice-mail (which the machine I guess can't deal with it), no worries, it was not important!  :)

800-111-1114 called at 7:02 Calif time 2/4/08 (Mon). I answered it as I figured it was some political call this time of year, but it was the exact same message as a 632 area code number that my entire family has received -- about a car warranty about to expire...last notice.  If you want to opt out, press 2.  If you want to speak to someone about extending the warranty, press 1.  I pressed 1 to mess with them, and got someone who asked for the make and model of the car that I wanted to keep under warranty.  My wife had been through this before with the (632) area code call, so I was familiar with the set-up.  I said, 'you should know my car info since that's what you're calling me about,' and as soon as I said that, he hung up.  SCAM!  We're on the DO NOT CALL LIST, and I am SO SICK of hearing from these  people!  You try to call back the number and you get a message from Verizon Wireless saying that the call cannot be completed...  So now what do I do!?  My entire family is signed up on the DO NOT CALL REGISTRY, but the calls seem to keep coming.  If someone with any ability to follow up is reading this -- DO SOMETHING!

If you do a google search for "Great Atlantic Warranty", you come up with a youtube account which belongs to these a$$holes. The account name is MIKEZAMBOUROS.

I then googled "mikezambouros", which netted the url of a a website owned by these creeps - mikezambouros.com!  Sure enough, if you try going here, the title of the page is "Great Atlantic Warranty", though the page itself just says "coming soon".

Just for kicks, I did a WHOIS search for this domain (mikezambouros), just to see who registered it, and that netted me the following information:

I have recieved serveral calls regarding a car warrenty, but it was just a recording... the number was something wiht the area code of 526. I'm not sure why I am getting calls about a car that does not excist! I also get them during the day.....they don't leave voicmails they just hang up...Never answer them!

I just noticed a missed call from 800-111-1114 on my cell (which is on the Do Not Call list).  This comes after receiving calls every single day two weeks ago from 623-238-6228, which is also supposedly a warranty expiration warning. Funny...I don't even own a car!

I never answered calls from the 623 number and no one called at all last week. I will report this one to the FCC if I receive a second call.

I received calls from 800-111-1114 as well as 602-942-0091.

These are Identity Thieves who make money from verifying your phone number to sell on the "black" phone-list market to other scammers and telemarketers as well as steal your money if you buy any fictitious warranties/goods from them as well as your identity if you give them your credit-card number or bank account information over the phone...

Just keep reporting these numbers to the FCC (Federal Communications Commission) till they do something about it...
