Not possible.  These are scammer/extortionists working out of India and as such are beyond the reach of US law.

Got a herasing call from them this morning. I told them to take me off there call list. One way to deal with these companies is get you a layer and sue these companyies for herasment.

I received a call on my cell when I picked up it rang again (a definite redirect). The man on the phone informed me that the dept. of Treasury has awarded me a $9800 grant, which I do not have to repay. I remained silent. Then he proceeded to ask me do you want to know why you were selected? I said get to the point. He hung up. I blocked the number.
A definite scam.

Got a call from 800-111-3344 telling me I was selected by the government to receive $8000. All I needed was to decide if I wanted the money on a credit card or in my savings or checking acct. I asked the lady with a strong Chinese accent what was the best way to get money she said it was my choice. I then said are you f$#*n crazy. She then replied did you just ask me if I was f$#%n crazy. Yes I said then asked where she was from, she said did you ask me where I am from. She was very aggressive and I had to hang up on her.

I just received the call too! I have applied for grant money in the past so I actually believed it =( I can't believe people do frauds like this to others! Now I'm worried what it was all about. They asked for my address, age and zipcode and I gave it to them now I'm worried it was all for bad purposes. They went on to ask me what I would use it for and I said education and current student loans since I'm unemployed with two degress. If anyone knows anything please let me know I will appreciate it. Things like this shouldn't happen yet some of us are naïve and believe good things can happen. Worried because they keep calling me and saying "why did you hang up?" Hello! I didn't you did! But glad they did because it came a chance to look them up and find out its all a fraud

I continuously receive calls from this number advising that I have been selected by the government to receive a grant of $9,800 which is free and I do not have to pay back.  The gentleman with a DEEP foreign accent advised me his name was Roger Phillips and that I could not speak to his manager until he went through the Verification Process of obtaining my information. This number just called me and she said she was from U.S Government Grant. Then I asked what this was in regards too and they hung up.

Just as others have said, my cell phone rang with this number coming up in my caller ID and when I answered and said "Hello," I heard a phone ring and then a guy named "Mike" answered telling me he was calling from the "United States Grants Office." I asked him to repeat it, and he did, at which time I said, "Please take me off of your call list!" He started cussing me out..."Please f***ing take me off of your f***ing call list..." I was appalled and hung up! I will block this number!!

He would have asked you for some up-front money via some untraceable method before he could send you your "grant" money.

I just got a call from this number.  Non-native English speaker explained how the US Government selected me to get a FREE grant of $7800.  I asked him my name.  If he called me and I'm a winner he should know my name.  He cursed at me and hung up.  Number is now blocked. I know it's a scam but not sure what he was after...didn't get that far.

Just received call from 8001113344 that i claimed calling from u.s. Govt geants and that i was chosen to receive free money $7,000 and that he needed to verify my info .. He asked for my zip code i said i thought you alreafy have info about me and just needed to verify he told me "just hang up ok"
Few mins later recvd another call from diff 800# saying same thing told him remove my nbr from their list he said he won't di that i just hang up

I told the 8001113344 caller to send it to me in writing and that was the end of that.

I just got this call and he was talking so fast that it sounded like gibberish. He said something about $7800 and i had to pay it.

called telling me of a DC grant. 7800. asking for info on my accounts to send money to. Questioned identity of caller. Refused to give it to me. Aggressive and forceful. Insist on me giving my accnt number. When i refused she hang the phone up. Very strong chinese accent. Call number: 1800 311 3344

Got a call from this number, but when answering, it rang to another number.  Someone answered and told me that I was a lucky person selected by government from millions of people who are good citizen to receive a free grant.  The grant was about $8000 and no need to return. If you are selected by government to receive free money, you know this is a SCAM!

4 Calls in two days, all hours.

Called talked so fast I could understand him I said im sorry like 2times n he said f*** it n hung up.

I received a call that I have been selected for grant money that is in the amount of 7800.
I needed to confirm and share this as it's just a scam. the number is not valid and to trick you in calling another number for where the payment is to be sent to. I have blocked this number.

I received call from 800-111-3344.  This is scam do not answer any #'s they are using differents differents phone #' please check the #'s in the computer about there complains. and they are using differents differents company names to. please do not give your money to these kinds crocks.

I answered my phone and he asked my name, I told him and he hung up.

Someone called from this number and asked for Evvie. That's not me. I've gotten calls before from people asking for that name - it's no one I know and I've had this number for well over 15 years. I told them to take the number out of their database, not optimistic that they'll do it though.

I received a call from this number on May 23rd 2014. I asked who it was and got no answer. I asked  who he was calling, telling him that he called me and should know my name. He said my first name When I asked what it was he wanted he laughed and said, "money! money!"

I received a telemarketing call from this number and asked the caller to remove my name and number from the list.  She refused and told me she would call me every day.  

I just got a call from this number telling me i  have a free grant. I know it is a scam and I am going to start blocking all of these phone numbers.

Just got the same call, it rings on my end, I answer, then it proceeds to ring on my end as if I am calling someone, a foreign sounding man told me that I have been approved for X amount of federal grant money, I said no thank you please take me off of your calling list he said no, why would I do that, I said because I told you to, he said you can hang up if you want, I said after you confirm that you will be taking my number off of your list, he said he would NOT do it...i just put my phone on mute and he eventually hang up. SCAM! Blocked the number as well.
