some faux AT&T scam, saying i'm entitled to $250. blocked the number.

Answered, heard some clicks then someone with a heavy accent saying something about computer. Hung up.
Interesting I get this call on the same day I removed iobit Advanced System Care from my computer and told them it was because it had too much spyware and browser hijacks.

It's a scam.  Ignore it.

caller id shows 23456789   they usually say nothing today man said he needed to speak to windows user I said im listening and he said i love you and hung up want it to stop no number to report on caller id this is everyday it needs to stop

I got a call from this number say they were a college adviser. I immediately told the Chinese guy that I had not been feeling well and was sleeping. I had already found a college by doing my own homework and was planning to enroll in Penn Foster for their Vet Tech program. He then proceeded in telling me that he was in love with me and he thought I sounded sweet and pretty. I carried this on for a good 5 minutes telling him I thought that was sweet but it was unprofessional and he could not do that if it was a legit company. I asked him his name and he said Jack Dodson and he was 29 yrs old. LOL!! That is a movie star. I then told him that, "Jack I am sweet and always have been, but this is unprofessional and I was going to let him go". He persisted on carrying on telling me he was in love and tried to keep me on the phone. I nicely told him again that I was not feeling well and I had to go. I said, "Jack this has been fun but you have a good day" and I hung up. Honestly this made me laugh and I got a kick out of it but who in the heck was this and I am still left wondering!!

I have been getting calls from this number the last few days. They always hang up after the 3rd ring. I am on the DO NOT CALL registry, but apparently that doesn't matter. :-(

This person ( male ) called me 3 different times 12:26pm. 2:18pm. then again while im doing this 2:37pm. he said he could hack my pc. the words was use a back office .. inwhich that will give accesses to anyone using  a hack tool. he didnt seem to know my full name, but he made it clear that he could get in my pc .. he made some statement about if i wanted him to shut something off in my pc .. i had no ides what he was talking about, i hung up on him.. and he is still trying to call me back.. 1-800-123-456 ? i checked the google and this is how i found you ,,,  i'm being cool & calm trust me ..  can you help me.. he threatened me by saying HE COULD GET IN MY PC ANY TIME HE WANTED TOO.? WTF? thats a threat...  he sounded like india .please Help... what can I do.?

Got a call today from the same number I think, but no caller ID. Had asked me to open eventvwr and look at my system errors. Then had me go to www.windowssupport.net and download Ammyy file and before installing, I did a little research on it and found this page: http://www.ammyy.com/en/admin_mu.html and it said if there is a person claiming to be from Microsoft telling you that you have a virus and/or system errors, it is definitely a scam. I avoided a close one

I always used to get calls from this 1-800-123-4567 number and a few times when i tried to call them back to see who it was, the call wouldnt go through saying that the toll free number isn't available in my area, so i do think this is a b***s*** number. . .

Received the same calls couple of times. They call my German mobile number! F****rs. I added the number to my reject list. No time to waste with this b***s***.

(1) Don?t answer the phone if you don?t recognize the caller?s number.
(2) Screen unknown calls with an answering machine or voice messaging service.
(3) If your phone has a ?Call Reject? feature, activate it. My cell phone can reject calls by group, by all unknown callers, or by all unknown numbers. I reject all unknown numbers since I have all of my friends, family and contacts in my ?Contacts? list.
(4) If you can assign ringtones to different contacts, assign special ringtones to your friends, family and contacts. Then change your normal ringer to a silent ringtone. Don?t just lower the volume of the ringer, you must find or create a ringtone that is nearly silent. I used Audacity to create a silent ringtone (generate 30s of silence, export to mp3).

One of the problems is that tele-scammers are able to spoof phone numbers. The scammers don?t care about the DNC list. Since the Caller ID phone number we see is faked, there?s no way for us to trace who?s really calling, and reporting a faked number to the DNC is pointless. The current solution is for us to get everyone to use ?Call Reject? or use a silent ringtone for any unknown caller.

The long term solution is that the telecommunications industry should put a stop to spoofed and faked phone numbers.

I didn't trust the telephone number which was displayed and I hung up.
Don't know what it was all about but I don't think it was in my interest to connect with that person.

Well I did it..picked up and said they called a crime scene and asked them how they knew me (well the victim)  they could not really say, so I said "I see you called a number of times today, so you must know her when can you come down for questioning"  no more calls :)

They called today several times today. I told them to take us off of their calling list. A woman with a very heavy Indian accent. It is ridiculous that these people can keep doing this; and have been doing this since 2009. Stop the scam!!!

8 calls today alone...I know my computer is fine I have virus protections and it is a brand new system.  Next time they call I heard of a funny thing to do..pick up and start asking them how they know the victim act like it is a crime scene and they are suspects lol

This number has called me five times alone today 1-30-2013. Everytime I ask them to stop and take my number off the calling list they hang up

I got phone call from this number every day. I do not know who is calling me.

I have been getting missed calls on my cell from 800-123-4567.  Finally today I talked to them and they told me I was eligible for a government grant and the best part is that I never have to pay it back (her words, not mine).  Really??  

She was trying very hard not to sound like she was from India - so I just hang up on her.  What a piece of garabe this person was.

From what I have gathered they are connected to a www.anaheim.com. They not only give you phone calls but will send you emails fishing for personal information. I have contacted my local police and have reached out to the city of Anaheim for assistance in identifying the webmaster. The site is currently down as of this afternoon. But if you could would the people getting the call also check their email? If so please make a police report. This is harassment.

Got a call from 1800-123-4567 strong Indian ascent telling me he is with the US Government. Sad thing is that could be true. My connection on my cell was bad so i hung up .

Same thing happened to me, they told me i had to give them my computer password and my computer ID so they can get rid of the "hacker trying to get my information".
