Had a missed call from this number at 8:24pm. No message or anything, my mrs gave my number to pottery barn in the US so maybe they passed on our info to a marketing firm? Just a maybe on that though..

Missed the call, now blocked number as I do not answer weird looking numbers anyway( in case it costs me lol). I am on Vodafone and wonder if the connection lies with phone companies selling details! I didn't put my number on the census so ruled that one out!

Just had a missed call from 001 (800) 144-4048. Glad I didn't answer it.

Called my mobile. I answered and they said asked if I'd answer a few questions for some marketing thing so that they could contact me again with more specific information. I said no and hung up.

Just had a call from this number I answered and nothing it hung up after a fees seconds. I won't be answering again if it calls back.

just answered a call from this number, the line was bad but I heard the woman say her name was clarisa (or something like it) and she was calling on behalf of a company (couldn't make out the name) and that she wanted me to answer a few questions for her in regards to Health. I said I would rather opt out and she said that it was only a few questions and the information would be passed on. when I said I would really rather just opt out, she hung up, didn't even say goodbye

i answered, heard nothing then they cut the call

Unsolicited Telemarketing. As with all calls of this nature, I respond to all questions asked with the word "sure." I then randomly ask "before you go on, do I need to be wearing trousers for this conversation?" - Try it, chances are they'll never call again.

GOT A CALL FROM THIS NUMBER IT WAS A WOMEN ASKING FOR SOMEONE I COULDNT UNDERSTAND HER THE SHE JUST HUNG UP. IGNORANT RUDE COW

I'm in the UK & got 2 calls from this number on my mobile phone at 2035 local time. This cannot be because of the Census.  I did not even possess this number when data was collected for the Census.
I did not answer either call.

Answered no one there. Unusual number thought it might be banking. Very strange!

Called me and asked for someone else. I said they had the wrong number and they then asked if I was the owner of my phone number. Quickly hung up after that.

I just got a call from this number. I didn't answer as I don't like answering unknown numbers. So is it the census people or cold calling?????? You got at call 25 mins and so did I? I must have been next on the list.

Got a call from this number. American I'm sure she was. Can't even remember the company name as couldn't understand. They asked to confirm my address which was wrong so I updated them. Just asked a bunch of questions and would I like to be contacted at all by insurers, or donate to charity. Random.

Did everyone here put their telephone number on the last UK census?
If so thats how they got your number and knew your name.
The last census in the UK a couple of years ago was done by Lockheed Martin a U.S. military contractor!!!
The UK never got any of the details as to who were living in the UK as it was all sent to America.
