Machine-generated call left a message on answering machine

John is probably in on it. This is phishing!!! I called the 1-866 on my statement and intentionally did not enter my account #. I got a real person that helped me. The 972-653-1000 number wanted my SSN(some BS about that # not bringing up your account), and that is wrong and "I think" illegal. The first call I got from these fools, the "rep" told me I could use another card to make a payment. DUH! If you can find me a CC that will accept another CC as payment I'll kiss your *ss! By the way: I think this whole CITI card is a poorly run, and may have security issues.

It's a scam. My caller ID showed 972-653-1000 and call was picked up after 1 ring. The message stated that they're sorry they cannot speak to me in person, and this is not a sales call. The callback number is 1-800-200-8054 and any rep would be happy to assist me.
The message didn't state what it was for, only that it has something to do with Citibank.
What's the stupidest thing is that I do not have a citibank account, credit card, loan, or any other interest associated with the company. Nice try, scammers.

I suggest calling Citicards/Citibank if you get this. I called them, they traced the line back to one of their own. What had happened is my cc payment was 35 days overdue (I didn't pay off the interest when paying off my cc).

Phishing scam, claims to be from Citibank and "Not a sales call." Don't call back.
