This number called my cell phone while I was at work. I have my cell phone on vibrate during my work hours. They didn't have the common courtesy to leave a message, just trying to bother me while I am on the clock at work. Didn't know who it was since they didn't leave a message.

These guys just called me again. I managed to pick up this time, and was treated to a (blatantly incorrect) automated message that my last payment to 21st Century Insurance was not received. I don't even have insurance with them, so why would my payment be late? This number just went from fishing to phishing.

I got a call from this number on my cell phone. They left no message (which is rude, IMHO). From what others have posted, it sounds like it was a call from 21st Century Insurance. They must be fishing for business because I don't have an account with them, and they have no reason to call me for a follow up survey.

rate my satisfaction? I's satisfied that they're a bother. Two hangups on the answering machine. No message = rude. I've changed carriers. If you are a vet USAA beats them in every catagory.

anytime you dial an 800 number even if your number is blocked, your number is identified on the toll free side. So perhaps those of you with private cell numbers your number is then identified. I know banks use this info to track people.
For those of you who download android apps from android market, you may see a disclosure screen that mentions what information is obtained when you use the app. ex: location, who you call and their number, the contents of you SD card, permission to remove or modify SD card, internet history, etc.
this part of the reason lending institutions are eager for you to adopt their mobile down-loadable software. They then have permission to contact you because you have some type of working relationship via mobile application or lending business. remember they justify calling you because you bank with them.

I received two phone calls on my cell phone from this number and both were hang-ups. I had called the number earlier and spoken with a customer service rep who took my updated contact information (but I did not give her the cell phone number so they must be fishing for new business.

21st century called and hung on on my answering machine.
I had called them earlier in the day but hung up on the service rep because of his heavy accent. I could barely understand what he said so I was going to call back later and hope that someone who spoke english clearly would answer.
I had to call the number to find out who it was because caller ID showed just the number and not who was calling.
