I received a PC from The National Parcel Services in Westbrook, ME  the number on the post card is 800 278-2474. The card to call and pay 8.95 for S&H

i got the same thing. i did call, but the man i spoke to was getting an attitude because i was asking too many questions. then i told him i can send a money order, of course he said no and need a credit card. i knew then it was a scam. i feel bad for senior citizens that might fall for this. i'm glad i google.

I got the post card today and they are holding jewelry for me worth $50 and to call them to release the package for a nominal shipping and handling fee of $8.95.  I didn't order any jewelry or anything for that matter so questioned this company.  I haven't called them yet wanted to research them first.  Thanks for the heads up.

First of all, they are spelling my name wrong.  Got the same postcard saying I have a package valuing at $50. and need to pay $8.95 within  2 days.  Think they called me earlier, and I smelled SCAM.  Was about to pay via a credit card that I seldom use, when I decided to Google first.  Thanks for confirming my suspicions.  The number they asked me to call was 800-460-1307.  Interesting come on.  As folks have said, too good to be true.

Stop scaming people trying to get money no such thing u holding a package for 50.00 or 8.95 go to work stop trying to steal onset folks money have reported to the bbb.

All of you on here have one thing in common. You don't use proper grammar and or spelling. Clearly, you're all very uneducated people. Also, nobody's forcing you to call the number on the post card so if you think it's a scam stop wasting you're and the representatives time by calling in when you already know before hand that you want nothing to do with it. Do you really have nothing better to do than to call and give some poor fellow a load of s*** when all they're trying to do is provide for their family? Is your life really that sad? Read a book or something.

Did any of you that received the post card happen to have ordered ANYTHING that had to be delivered via UPS, FEDEX, etc. in the week or so prior??

I got exactly the same postcard from Parcel Claim Services to call a toll free number for $50 and assessment fee of 8.95!  I am just throwing it away it is a scam.  I didn't order anything especially anything for $50, looks so lagit but it's a fake!

I just received this post card as well. Number is 1-800-461-7152. $50.00 worth of jewelry waiting for me for $8.95 shipping and handling.. Asking for a Visa or MasterCard. NOT.. I checked the internet because I knew it was a scam! Thank goodness for the internet!!

I got the same card. Holding a package for me. Of jewelry. There also using the number 888-964-1062. Thank you for that info. Now I can be more aware.

I just received the same card ten minutes ago and I called I ask what is this card about and he told me it's real pearls now real pearls don't cost$50 bucks I hung the phone up and how u no me and my address creepy

No where on the card does it state you won anything. You call to enter. No purchase necessary as the card states. If you know how to read, you all would understand it.

My father got a card in the mail saying to call to claim a package "pending immediate transfer." I caught him as he was about the give his credit card info to pay 8.95 to receive a gift worth 50.00 dollars. The 8.95 was for shipping and handling.
I filed a complaint online for fraud with post office. Company: National Parcel Service. Address: PO BOX 780, Westbrook ME 04098. I called them back and actually had to wait 15 minutes for a representative to answer. That just shows you all the suckers out there they are ripping off. This time I told them I was calling about life insurance and they proceeded to try to sell me that as well. Do not give these people money.

I receive the same card from National Parcel Service claiming they are holding my package for me with $50.00 with a tracking pin numbers and i have to dial this number 800-511-2520 now and i just have to pay $8.95 with my visa card or master card only.I think someone is trying to scam i never order anything.I advise watch out .I asked the guy who pick my called if is OK i pay with cash.He said no just visa card or Master card.I knew he is up to something.Please be safe and enjoy your hardworking dollars without allowing yourself to be scam.God Bless

I don't know if this is the same type of co.(scam) I also rec'd a PC  from National Parcel Services claiming they're hold ing a pkg for me with a value of $50.00.you have to cal a 800 number immediately to receive this pkg. You won't have to pay for it, JUST an assessment of Shipping and Handling fee of 8.95, with of course a credit card,visa or M/C, granted it's not a whole lot of money under 9.00-BUT you have to give a credit card number.!! (to pay for that small amount).
I've been burned before, not on this small thing, but still I'm not giving my info .out to some company that I don't know,even tho I called them( ONLY because of the card they sent me) that's just like someone calling me cold and asking me for some info, I told them" no thank you". Don't need the worries!! or the so called item worth $$.

Recieved  card from 800 214 5570  but  wasn't called got in the mail  .

Same response here.  I called to tell them to not send another notification.  She got really mad and asked if I wanted the package.  When I said no, she hung up on me.

I recieved a postcard from them as well... The postcsrd states thst I won a neckless but have to pay 8.95 for shipping. How can I report this scam to the federal govrrnment?

Just received a card, I have a parcel of jewelry "waiting" for me, I have to pay $8.95 for shipping. I asked several questions, and in the middle of my questions, the operator hung up on me.
