This number called me and said he was with Citi Bank and that I owed on a credit card debt.
I told him any debt I had was over four years old and was uncollectable. I then hung the phone up.
He repeatedly called back so I answered it one more time. He told me in an angry voice that I was acting like a caveman, called me other names, and continued to get more loud and disrespectful. I told him to send a letter but do not call anymore.
He called one more time and left a message that his name was Robert Black and I should call him. No Way am I going to call him.
I now find out that he isn't even from Citi Bank he is some CRS debt collection agency.
Very illegal practice!

Mr. Hale left a message stating that I or my attorney call him at 18002145365. He said he was from crs and associates. He didnt say anything else. I dont know what he wants. What should I do?

this person called me today and many times before. told him do not call again but he was so nasty and said " i can call any time if i want to and you can not stop me" then started calliung me " f****ng chinese s**t....." what should i do ? he said he knows where i live too. is he going to rob me? should i report to the police?

Called and left message on our machine, a Mr. Hale, wanting to get in touch with (a family member) or her legal council, about a claim number (so-and-so).  After researching online we found out it is a scam, somebody apparently buys up old outdated (uncollectable) debt and tries to bully the callee into paying it.  If you make a payment, however, it resets the clock and you could be liable for the amount again until it is paid or a certain amount of time has passed since you paid (varies by locality).  If you give them as much as a nickel you are admitting that you owe it, so whatever you do, don't send them money!

siad they needed to contact someone that hasnt lived here in like 20 years left a "case ID" on the machine, very stern and nasty. After the 3rd call I called back told them that person no longer lived here they acted like they were looking for a reference.

CRS Group calls me under a different first name but same last name all the time.  I get these calls now once a week. So now I need to send them a Cease and Desist Letter, and document how often they call me.  Once that is done, I can take it my state's attorney general as proof of harassment.

This is a much better plan than just harassing them back.  Make sure you document how often they call you!  Good luck.

This C.R.S group calls me 4 to 5 times a day and will not stop I have called and reported them to the police. If this does not stop I will call them 4 to5 times a day and hanging up. Thanks for the help kyle.
