calls all the time and never leaves a message!!

loud ringing in my ear or when I answer they hang up, or if I am gone they don't leave message

Called twice today 1/22/08

This number has called several times a day for the past few weeks. I do not answer, and no message has ever been left. Tried to call it back and it's busy.

This number called 5 times today. Anyone know who this is?? I researched on internet and found nothing?

I have received 5 calls from this number in the last two days.  All my numbers are on the Do Not Call.  I want to know who this is.

I answered phone when this number was on my caller ID, they immediatly hung up.Call back resulted in busy signal

I have started recieving calls from this number over the past three days I've had atleast 3 calls from this number between 9:am and now 1:30 PM I'm getting really frustrated. I tried dialing it back right away and it said for a $4.95 call please dial (something like) 10-23-57 and now when I try to call it back it's just busy.

this number calls at least 5 times a day...anyone know who this number belongs too?

I received one call from this number on 9/19/07, two calls from this number on 9/20/07, three calls from this number on 9/21/07, and today, 9/22/07, I've received five calls from this number.  I don't answer so it seems they are escalating their harassment by increasing the number of calls each day.  The times called range from 10:00a.m. until 8:35p.m.  What cowards to keep calling yet not identifying themselves which certainly indicates that they know if they identify themselves their calls will be reported to the state & fed "Do Not Call" system.  I've never had road rage but after all of these calls I'm now experiencing phone rage.

3 calls, no message

I get 2-4 calls per day...as late as 9:45PM!  If I answer, it clicks and disconnects.  How do I make it stop?  It's been going on for 2 weeks now!

They want to punch 1 of news about an exciting new church in this area.  What church is this?

Amazing how long this has been going on (per this thread).  Today is January 22, 2008 and they called me.  I wasn't interested in hearing about a new church so I hung up.  Then I got curious and checked here.  Yes, I'm on all the Do Not Call lists, but the loophole to the lists is that you can be called if (#1) the caller has a prior relationship with you or (#2) they are a charity soliciting funds.  If this caller is getting around the DNC list it is probably because they have obtained the ID of a not-for-profit church that they are using to hide behind.  

The caller is probably autodialing (computer makes up the number to call) and they are collecting the numbers whenever they get a hit on a real number where someone answered (or their machine did).  Don't know what they will do with the list of numbers that results, but I'm sure that somewhere down the road I'll get a call or a solicitation from someone.

I'm going back to never answering the phone.  Let the machine do all the answering and I'll do call backs to friends and family who were smart enough to leave a message.  Such a pain.

What is the name of the church?

This number continues to call 4 - 6 x a day, hangs up before answering machine picks up, how do I get rid of them, I have an unlisted phone# as well as on the do not call list.

This number calls 3x daily-when I answer there is just a ringtone.

Turn off you answering machine, I did, and I don't think it's a problem.
I do keep my caller ID on, just to see who's calling. I don't think there is a law saying you have to have an answering machine! You can always put the
phone # into Google Search to find out who is calling.

SOMEONE IS PAYING forTHE 800??????   WHO????

Same as others, the machine picks up and we get a busy dial tone.  We're getting tons of calls this week from this number and from a number that shows up as 1-000-000-0000.  I'm on a no call list and I'm getting pissed.

It started before Christmas 07 when I was receiving 2-3 calls from this #.The answering machine is picking up a loud dial tone. I am on the "Do not call list" but what good is that?
Once I tried to call this # but I am getting a busy signal.
I hope this calling will come to an end soon.

CALL EVERYDAY TWO RINGS THEN HANGS UP MOST TIMES

This was the church as others have reported.  I pressed 1 and let
it sit until the call failed.  I used *69 to get the number.
I called it and it was invalid in my calling area.

i figure it's not a company or church so much as probably a (our) government doing something nefarious.
this website could also be part of the nefarious plot.
just a hunch...could be wrong.

I listened to the message and got the name of the church. I Googled it and found the new church that is using this service in my area. I called the church and asked them to remove my name from their call list. Almost too easy. Hope it works or I might resort to calling them as many times as they call me or maybe spamming them with a link to this web page.

This number called my house on 10/23/2007 left a message that said "I'm sorry that is not an option, Goodbye".  I tried to call this number back, but it said that this number is not in my calling area.

This number calls each day around 12noon and then begins again in the afternoon.
