Yeah, they call a co-worker of mine EVERY day: "Please hold for an important message from Alltel".
We just hang up.

I got the call from 1-800-215-3633 this morning. No caller ID available. I never answer incoming 1-800 calls on my cell, I ignored the call.

It wasnt ALLTELL needing a payment! It was a message telling alltell users that there is an update for your cellphone...... So, you need to dial *22896 send then wait for the message turn your phone off then back on. I thought the same thing until I read the text message that was also sent to my cell phone- which is how I found this web site!

This call came while I was busy pumping gas so ignored it, which I was glad to have done when I saw it was an 800 #. According to what someone above posted, it is no doubt Alltel. Apparently their entire operation is riding on my payment, which was made last week, although the dept that takes the payment has not informed the eager-beaver dialers-for-$$ dept that has been bothering me repeatedly for the last few days. What idiots...
