The site is designed to look like and actually serves as a fraudulent front end to the real Verizon Wireless Site.  It requests you enter your account number and password to claim your credit.  Since it passes all entries to the real Verizon site it can detect fake accounts or wrong passwords.  It records the account and password information then the scammers log on to the real VZW site and access your account. They add their own devices and run up thousands in charges that you would likely be liable for since Verizon would think you made the changes to your account.

I get that the website has been reported as a web forgery. Must have been taken down.. yay!!

received  a call from 800-528-1248 on my cell ph. said i had been chosen to win $461 from Verizon wireless to go to vzw461.com to sign in and claim my prize.. i knew it was a scam... but doesn't hurt to report for others..

I got same promise of same amount of credit on my Verizon wireless bill - even though I don't have verizon wireless.

Obviously a scam.  Wonder what happens if you go to the web site?  (No, I DO NOT want to go to the web site to find out.)

In my case, the caller ID indicated a different "call from" number 800-319-2516.

I've been getting the same phone call with the same amount being offered for about 2 months now about once a week. It definitely does NOT seem legit. Are they targeting only Verizon customers I wonder?

Thanksgiving day 2pm got this same phone call with the same amount to be rewarded. I haven't got time for this bs. So much for being on the national "do not call list". After seeing the above postings, I'm not going to the site.

I keep getting phone calls saying Verizon Wireless is awarding various amounts of money to be applied to my phone bill. The latest one came today. The phone # is 1-800-218-1402. They are offering $461.00 and saying go to WWW.vzw461.com
