Doesn't seem like it. I just got one of these robodialer calls, ten months later. I keep pressing the number the recording says to press to be put on their "do not call" list, but the calls keep coming anyway. I've already gotten over six or seven of these -- and reported it at the National Do Not Call Registry website (donotcall.gov) -- since our number is on the Registry, but the calls keep coming.

ADT knows what's going on.

Apparently 'our' federal government has telegraphed to these people that they can do this, while 'our' government looks the other way. Wink wink.

One of these guys keeps calling me and when I told him that I need more informtion he told me that I need a mental exam because I don't have his security system.  I assume that this is ADT and for this reason will never get an ADT security system.  I was then called  the next day while at work and they told me that I had a break in and then the same guy that called before called me and as*hole and a mother*ucker because I asked him which zone was in alarm.  Thanks ADT for screening your employees.  The number he called from (800-219-5404) did of course have a disconnected number recording.  This is easy to do as you just put it as the auto answer for incoming calls.  Yes, the number is still in service but they don't want you to call them they want to call and harass you all day and night.  I can't believe that the FBI can't do anything about these people.

The "staticy" call you hear is a marketing sham - their automated message is recorded that way because they know that most people will call back and when you do you will get hit with their FBI message. If you attempt to ask any questions about this company like where they operate out of, etc, they will hang up on you. They have been calling my cell phone for the last 3 days from two different numbers 973-453-2043 and 269-288-1181.

Eventually what I did was get all friendly and convince them that I wanted their service and they told me about their connection to ADT. I then called ADT's corporate customer relations group, spoke to Del Nelson at 866-561-0952 x4706 and reported both the numbers they were calling from and their marketing tactics. He is referring the matter to their investigative team and I suggested to them that they call up like one of us - getting unwanted calls on our cell - and ask questions about the company so they can see how they react. He said that's exactly the type of thing that they do.

Further, I told him that to have a company like this doing market sales for them is a mistake; that these shady practices are only going to soil the ADT name. I don't know whether they will actually give this company the boot but I sure hope so.

Got a call from this line just now.  Old lady said she was calling from Southern California, identified herself as with both ADT and "Home Solutions Network."  When I pressed her for info about Home Solutions Network, which I knew to be too general to be a real firm name, she said it was based in Southern California and she could not give me the phone number or anything else about it.  Kept saying she could refer me to an "ADT specialist," but wouldn't give me any number for ADT either.  Clearly a scam.

I received a call from this number on 03/17/11. When I answered there was no response. I then called the number back only to be told that the number I was attempting to reach was disconnected. That certainly seemed strange to me that I would be their last call before they were disconnected. I AM GLAD THEY WERE DISCONNECTED. I HOPE IT IS FOR VIOLATING THE MISSOURI NO CALL LIST!!!! HOPE FULLY ONE DOWN AND A MILLION MORE TO GO.

It's an offer for a security system. I called backed and it had a statistic about how often the FBI reports a break-in, if you press 9 it's supposed to put you on the do-not-call list, but it automatically disconnects so I'm not sure if it actually did.

I just got a call from them as well.  The reception was poor and the call ended before I knew who it was.  I redialed and got an automated voice message system, something about the FBI and home break ins.  Really freaked me out.  I too live on a college campus.  How do these guys get our numbers?
