Aaron called my secretary and asked if I had an interest in 3 search engines. there were great
opportunities.  I returned the call to 866-976-5477.  I did not get anyone to answer on the first call. On the second call a female receptionist answered. I asked what business I had reached.  She said I reached  the local lighthouse. I asked for Aaron.  The receptionist
said he was not available.   During my call  to them a second call came in from the same people. Apparently they have caller I.D.

They left a voice mail saying " This is Roberts, a Data Service Provider from Google" then went on about having a great opportunity in search engine rankings.  

I figured they were not from Google when the person started talking about getting better rankings in Yahoo, and Bing.


SPAM

Received a voice mail from this number (800-219-6018). Message went something like, " Hi this is Robert, data service provider from Google. We recently have some listing openings on Google that you might be interested in..."

Since when does Google cold call for business? Since when are there "openings" in search results. Sure seems like a scam or fraud to me.

Luckily Google brought me right here to this very page.

Our company got the same recorded message from "Robert" about positions opening up! Total garbage and BS. Funny thing is, we are a highly regarded SEO company!!! So I had to laugh. I considered calling them back to lead them on and yank their chain, but not worth the time. And appartently they are telemarketers for a variety of scams.

A business I work for received a call from these hooligans.  I called back with a silly voice and had a nice time yanking their chain, providing all sorts of false information, etc. They are most definitely an illegitimate company.  They also come up on a google search as a debt collection agency.

I have been receiving the same message.  My message stated that it was Roberts Data Service Providers with the same information regarding improve search engine ranking.  I am a business owner and I am usually #1 on most search engines, so I know this is bogus.  Thank you for all the other feedback.  I intend to call today as the number they are calling is my residential number.

Got a call from "Roberts" offering to improve my rankings on Google.  Gave this number to call back.  He actually called from 574-970-9704.

protip: google doesnt have "positions in the search engine" that "open up". google does not offer services to improve ranking. google does not cold call people with vague messages that could literally be for anything. if you get a call from google and you are not an infamous hotshot programmer and they dont call you by name, it's probably a telemarketer for a SEO company.

i got a message from these guys and was hoping i could find out the parent company responsible but it seems nobody knows yet.

same thing happened with me. for sure they are a telemarketing place posing as if the are with google. they think people will melt when they hear the name google.

They called my business at 8:32 at night and left a message saying it was "Robert from Google" and they just had some great positions on the search engine open up, bla, bla, bla.  I actually entered the phone number into a Google search and ended up here.  Obviously just some telemarketer fishing for fools.

They called us after free search engine submissions.  I don't think they are with Gooogle, I believe they are a search engine company and they may be selling services as well as selling phone numbers.  Thanks for the heads up.  I will not be calling that telephone number.  And by the way, they did not ask for anyone in particular.  Another thing, we did not give them our telephone number.

Made it sound like they were leaving a message even though I answered, definately pre-recorded, said they had employement opportunites for search engines Google, Yahoo, and Bing (like those three competitors would work together). Called the number back and was female voice advising to leave a message (no company info) and a representative would get back to me.

They say their Google, but they called at 2am and left a message.  Why would Google call at 2am?

Same thing, got called about 2 seconds long, then hung up. It's probably done on purpose to get you curious enough to call back. At that point, you called them so you must be interested in their offer.

This call was to my cell phone and I am on Verizon.

They just called me too.

Same weird call, a woman started talking and then both the woman and a man talk.  Never call an 800 number back.  It's a back door around the do not call list.  If you call you are establishing a relationship.

Same here: two people talking, call disconnects, call back it is some sales pitch for a "free" home security system.

Yup same call here, 2 ppl talking. Kinda strange!

I love that other people heard the same thing, sounded like a recorded call, i think the lady's name is Roberta, or something similar. it was the weirdest thing.

Yup, same thing, today, 3/29. Answered, it was a sweepstakes type humdrum and then a male voice interrupted and said "alright thanks", I quickly hung up. LOL.
