A company may be "legal" but if they're in constant violation of the FDCPA - threatening people, calling in spite of cease and desist letters sent - that spells scam.  "...People need to learn manners and take responsability of their actions..." - oh, another "pay your bills" shill.  If you notice, most of the posters here do NOT owe any debt to this company.  So to say they should "take responsability" is laughable.  No one should pay a debt they do not owe.

I called my credit card company to settle my debt with them and they said they sent my bill to this company with the number 800-220-0605. If they were fraud why would my care credit company send my bill to them? Debt collector say anything to get payments because most of them work off of commission. I didn't get a rude phone call once. I actually called them myself to speak to someone about this. The man was nice and answered all my question. I was a debt collector and most of the time when I called someone about there debt they would be really rude to me and all I would say is my name and the companies name and they would start being rude. I understand the economy is ruff but people need to learn manners and take responsabilty of their action not take out their frustration on working people.

Worker there acknowledged that Monarch Recovery Mgmt
used to be Academy Collection Service though denied
the name Omega Credit Services.

Claims company was bought out.

I mentioned Keith Dickstein, Edward L Hurt III and Albert S Bastian.

He tried to put all of the blaim for the huge legal settlement
onto the individuals who no longer work there.

I've heard that collection agencies are often deadbeats themselves.
As in not paying their 2.5 Million legal settlement, for example.

I've had my phone number for 6 years.
After having the number for several years, I started
getting Collection Agency calls for a person I never heard of.
Apparently the debt is being passed from collection agency
to collection agency sequentially.  As I get each agency to take
the incorrect phone number off their list, shortly another agency
is calling the exact same incorrect phone number.
It just keeps getting passed from one agency to the next.
I've been through this with dozens of collection agencies.

I wouldn't be surprised at all to find out that each debt
collection company has at least a DOZEN subsidiary
company names to hide behind.   Then when they pass
the account from one company to the next all they
have to do is switch to the next
subsidiary agency name in the same place.

I'm tempted to claim that I am the deadbeat just to find
out what company is the original debt holder so I can
remove my phone number.

The person they seek apparently NEVER had this
phone number in the first place, and apparently
nobody by his name ever lived in this entire state.

If you think about it, none of the collection agencies
wants to correct the wrong information which would
benefit some OTHER collection agency later on.
Why would one collection agency want to make it
easier for another collection agency to get paid?

That's why I want to get to the original debt holder
to get MY phone number off their darned  list.

I don't have credit and don't want credit.

I don't know which is worse, the scammer consumers
who rack up bills they don't intend to pay, the
scammer BANKS who gave credit to these
scammers or the scammers who run the collection
agencies and make illegal statements to try to
threaten deadbeats into paying.

'Monarch Recovery' keeps billing AND have left voice messages on my answering phone.  After another bill came today,  I called to inform them there that there is no Margarita Perez living here, she then asked me what MY name was and after I gave it to her, she states that this bill is not intended for me, then she asked me what my phone number was and I gave it to her.   I asked her to give me the number of the person they were billing and she gives me this phone  235-231-9634.
I realize this is a scam.  The number they gave me to Margarita Perez is a Metro pcs no!!!   I've been calling nonstop at their 800-220-0605. and no one picks up now!!!!!   Here is their full information as seen on the bill they keep sending me.
They are using the name of Monarch Recovery Management, Inc.

I get repeated calls from these idiots who leave messages on my home phone back east which is forwarding calls to my cell phone... I have called them at least six times and told them that I have no idea who they are calling for and my number is not the number they should be calling... they tell me that my number is the number that they have on file for the person they are looking for... these guys are total jerks... they never identify who they work for, and tell me their names,,,,, Marcus White, Mr Wilson, Cody Miles... they are jerks... looking online I can see that the number belongs to Monarch Recovery... they keep asking for a person named Matthew and all of them seem to pronounce the last name different so I don't know what the last name is of the person they are looking for... I have told them to stop calling me... they won't give me their address so I can send a cease and desist letter and I really hate for them to know MY name if I did that... all I know is, they have the wrong number and I have no idea who the person is that they are calling... I want them to stop...I assume they are a debt collector for this Matthew person... I will sue them if they don't stop calling me...

This guy calls me on my cell phone, does not tell me the name of the company he is calling from, but, and this is funny.  He knows he is leaving a message on a cell phone voicemail, he first states my name, then states; there will be a 3 second pause, after the 3 seconds, you admit that you agree that u are Dave.....
Then he leaves a message on the voicemail telling me that I must call him at 800-220-0605, and his extension.  This was the funniest one I've ever heard.  If u do what you need top do to negotiate with
your credit card companies and others, you more than likely be fine.  Most people get upset so much that they respond to the demands of these jerks.  Be careful dealing with collectors on the phone or on-line.  I lost my job and got behind, know that CNN reported that 1/4 of every home owner in the United States is near or at risk of foreclosure.  Our government my default on our debts, you are not the only one in a difficult place.

We got a voice mail from some person asking us to call this 1-800-220-0605 ex: 2566 and ask for Julie Diaz.  The phone call was from: 12153200424.  The person they were asking for was a Eric Teles.  No such person.  I wouldn't think much of it but we've had these calls for fictitious people going back a few years now.  I think I did call one back once to tell them that they had their info wrong.  No idea where they got my number and don't know what their game is.

OMG!!  That was pretty crafty of them.  I just got a message from someone who said "...please call Happy Craft at 1-800-220-0650 at ext 2737."  and then hung up.  Happy Craft?  I never return a call to anyone I don't know personally.  I plugged it into my computer to see who the number on the caller ID belonged to and I find this site.  How absolutely misleading this chick was.  She even lied about who to call.  Happy Craft??  Nice.
