This number called some of my clients (I'm a travel agent) saying they didnt have enough information for my customer's to fly (yes they do) - no reason Delta would have called them. I'm suspicious of this

Delta auto call back.  I was on delta .com called the delta num. they offer a call back if you type in num. I did, they called back from this number, but it did say "Metropolitan WA" on the caller ID which is odd.  It should say delta.  plus ive used this service before, and usually someone comes on line, now no one there, and it disconnected.  They just celled back now and it was them to help me with a question.  

Left a 10 second message that was cut off. All I could hear was " At at&t we care " then it ended. I will contact AT&T to see if it is a legitimate number.

This number called me at 1130pm. I answered thinking it would be a debt collector that constantly calls asking for Pedro, who I don't know, (and they're not allowed to call after 9pm). She asked for Ms. Barber, who I don't know and I told her the time and to never call me again. Google says this is Delta, but I have no travel plans and they asked for someone I don't know.

This number called me at 11:30pm. I only answered, because it was an 800 # and so late (thought it would be a bill collector and it's illegal for them to call after 9pm). They asked for a Ms. Barber, which isn't me or anyone I know. I let them know how late it was and to never call me again. Not sure if it was Delta (as Google has told me) or some scam, but I have no travel plans scheduled.

It's Delta... called to confirm that I purchased a gift certificate

Was a legitimate call from Delta with a flight update (delay). I didn't answer, but it left a recorded message with the update. Much appreciated. (However no experience with calling this number back - didn't need to...)

Called me at work. Recorded message saying, "Hi, this is Delta again! We're calling about a change in your flight schedule." I have no flight on Delta. A BUNCH OF CROOKS! Reported to FCC.

This number called me today and left a message. It was Delta Airlines and they were checking on two tickets purchased from Vegas to Charlotte NC on my credit card because the charge looked suspicious.   I told them I had NOT booked any such flight and they told me to immediately call  my credit card company.  A charge for almost $2000 had gone through on my credit card and Delta caught it - not my credit card company.  A big thank you from Delta for alerting me to someone trying to book this flight!

We aren't "whining". These calls are occurring multiple times a day, for days, for different flights... when none of us have made any travel plans. It is frustrating to have an automated system call your house, over and over and over again, where you cannot talk to a human and get the calls to stop. It helps to know that this is happening to other people, and perhaps to find a solution.

Please do not use my phone number for automated flight information.  The flt information is received by our travel department as well so this phone number does not need to be called.

This was a call from Delta notifying me that my flight had been cancelled. I wish that I had answered it because when I called back the wait time was 45 minutes and I had to schedule a call back anyway.

but I answered, and theyre still calling.. May be a scam, mine was automated gave a confirmation # but thats all.  Hmmmm...

yes, its the airlines confirming delays around salt lake. My daughter is flying to the US from Van, and they are delayed due to snow.

I rec'd 15 calls over 2 days from this number. I DONT LIVE IN MINNEAPOLIS AND AM NOT US. THIS HAS TO BE SOME SORT OF SCAM. My identity was stolen in 2010 and I'm just finding out about this stuff now. The "customer service person" asked for my name, what city I lived in, whether I had a specific credit card and was very forth coming with 2 other numbers that were supposedly attached as emergency numbers. I believe this is a scam. The agent gave me the name the "ticket" was booked under. I've done research online about the two other numbers given -- this was for Delta airlines and was about specifically a flight with Compass Air.
IT seems that almost everyone who rec'd this call DOESN"T FLY. If it's not a scam, that's too coincidental.

I received a call from this number notifying me about a change in my Delta flight - confirmed by their website. This is a real Delta number trying to notify you - do pick up.

They did leave a voice message on my phone, when making reservation I did provide my number. Informing me that my flight got delayed. I went online to check the flight status and it did show my flight was delayed. So hopefully no extra charges since I did not call back.....

The same thing happened to me. I missed a call from this num. When i called to inquire the reason, the representative couldn't provide any. I hope that I not getting hit by another call assistance charge as mentioned by someone above.

Call from 800-221-1212.  Answered my boss's line and heard an automated message that today's flight (gave me a 5 character confirmation code that was not valid) from Boston to Atlanta had a time change.  Saw this website and then called Delta.  The Delta agent said I was the first person to report this problem.  I told him to google their number and see what comes up.  He is aware that many people are receiving fake emails from Delta telling them to click on a link to check in for their flight.

This is Delta Air Lines. They were calling to let me know my flight had been delayed by three hours. I didn't answer it since I didn't recognize the number but they left me a voicemail. Very kind of them.

You did good. Perhaps by making Delta aware of the problem you are helping them to avoid that type of mistake in the future.

Call is legitimate.  If you call it back you will reach Delta Airlines.  I received a courtesy call concerning my itinerary which included the confirmation code.  Unfortunately, I am not the named individual on that confirmation code but it did lead the Delta rep to the record where a travel agency had entered the wrong number. Delta fixed the problem in a few minutes so I expect that I will receive no further calls.  

Having experienced such courtesy calls myself for flights that are mine, I fully appreciate the value of this service. Unfortunately, this means that you have to put up with erroneous calls due to inept people who can?t seem to enter a correct telephone number.

I got the same scam email today.

This is a phishing scam number. I just got an email supposedly from Delta with this number on it....I got the Delta number off their website (it was a different number) and called them and they said it was a scam.

Maybe you should take that up with your cell phone company...dee da dee....

received multiple calls from Delta. First re delayed flight, second re cancelled flight.

Assuming they had the wrong number for a real customer, I called back to let them know they had the wrong person.  They seemed genuinely concerned, but as flights were booked via an outside agency which provided the number, they had no way to contact the passenger.

Paranoid Stupids. Listen up. It's Delta's automated messaging call back system. Sorry if that doesn't fit into your jaded view of the world but believe it or not delta isn't out to steal your precious minutes, your just not that important, get over it.
You either got this call because

(a) Your flight was cancelled, delayed, moved etc.
(b) Your on someones next of kin / emergency contact list. (This could be the case and you might not realize it, ask around.)
(c) Someone simple inputted the wrong number on the callback system.

The reason no voice message was left was because, yes you guessed, ITS AUTOMATED. It will either give you the information you need or if you stay on the line put you forward to a rep.

Check the Delta website if your still skeptical, then again if your still skeptical, then there's probably no hope for you at all.
