Got the same harassing calls.  Beware Robinson Reagan & Young, they attempt to collect debts already paid and pocket the money themselves, earning their poor rating from the BBB.

They used (615) 726-7805 to call me.

Please do not call this number again.

One of these bottom feeder fake collectors called here today looking for my son - he died in Iraq in 2006. Yeah I can see right through this scam. Go ahead you SOBs, mark his credit bad, he won't be using it.

i have never had a debt collection call at all and just got one from this company. I have not bought or made payments on anything in years and what I do have, internet and such I still have on and paying the bills, have had for years. This has to be another case of the stupids making crap up and being illegal. I am growing tired of them calling asking me to call ext 2902. I will not call them back, I do not have time to waste on this at the moment. I will be checking my credit report though to see if I need to take legal action against them. That is for certain.

ICOLLECT, you're a loser!  Want some advice?  Quit buying bad debt for pennies on the dollar from other collecters.  Most of your collection claims are out of SOL for collection therefore illegal!

Well ICOLLECT, looks like the collection agencies have a scummy little lap dog(YOU) to scour message boards and defend them.   Thank God for consumer laws.  I just had the big three remove one of your fraudualant collections from my credit report in the amount of $6,000.  Even they could see through your lies!

They sent me a letter on a debt for my husband.  I paid the debt and have called for a letter of payoff.  They refuse to give me one. The agent was MS. k ivory

The person you are responding to in your post above was making the point that the law firm was digging for information on HER by asking for her name, phone number, etc.  

This is a very common tactic used by collection agencies.

How stupid are you, if she asked for someone else and you called back and gave your name, off ourse she did not have your name in her computer. Again you said she asked for someone else. !!!!

Scummy- The scummmy people are the one that don't pay their debt and let the rest of us that do pay, pay more because of it. Thats is what is wrong with people these days they think they should not have to pay for what they have or use.

I received a call at my home asking for someone unknown to me but used an aka as a reference.  I returned the call the following morning to Barbara Anderson at Robinson Reagan & Young 800-292-8404 ext. 6019 - I left a voice message for Ms. Anderson.  When Ms. Anderson returned my call, she stated that she could not find my name in her records.  Then started to ask question as to who I am and what number she called and why she called.  She then got irritated since I would not give her any information and she hung up.

Same number, same message as most [law firm] with the x6009.  

Number called was his parent's house where he has not lived for a good 10 years, BUT he still uses the address sometimes.

Said it was a very serious legal matter and left a number.  The kicker is they called a family member I have not spoken to in over 10 years.  WTF There has to be some kind of recourse action for harrassment ?

You are right it could be very interesting.  These people called my family that I no longer have any contact with and have not had contact in over 10 years.  There has to be a law for them harrassing people that have nothing to do with an elleged debt.

I also received a telephone call from Kim from Robinson, Reagan and Young stating "This is a very serious and time-sensitive matter, call 800-222-8527 x6024."  being the curious person that I am, I immedicately searched them on Yahoo, then on BBB.  Yeah, they are a collection agency and they have an "unsatisfactory" report on the BBB.  They can keep on calling, but I will never return the calls.

Mark Ragan Atty. actually admitted to "googling" the net to find a relative of mine.  Called MY MOTHER looking for MY MOTHER-IN-LAW in regards to an important legal matter.  Knowing this as suspicious and listening to Dave Ramsey talk about non-reputable collection agencies, we picked up on this immediately.  Turns out this stemmed from a identity fraud case that my mother-in-law fought & thought was settled through CHASE BANK 3 years ago.  Apparently there is still some sort of record out there and these SCUMMY collection agencies buy these old debt reports for pennies on the dollar and go to extreme and illegal means to try and collect. THIS APPEARS TO BE A NON-REPUTABLE COLLECTION AGENCY TRYING TO TURN A BUCK.
