DONT CALL ME ANY MORE

Same general details as most others have reported. Started over a year ago with a request for a name not at our number now or ever. Finally did get someone who said they would delete our number, and the calls ceased for a year or so,  but now the calls are starting up again.

Left 1-800--223-7824 number plus name only. Didn,t indicate what call was
about. I Added number to Do Not Call List.

People, do not be intimidated by these pieces of crap. A debt collector has to be able to prove that you owe the debt.

I received a call supposedly from Waltman, Weinberg and Reese.  They claim I owe money to Lord and Taylor.  I returned the phone call at a 1-800 476-7315 number that is not even a listed number.  First of all the statue of limitation has run out for this account because they claim a payment has not been made since 2003 and the SOL is illinois is 7 years or 5 years.  They are full of you know what

Continuous calls from Walton, Wineberg and Reese. "You are receiving an important call from WWR. This call is for.....nothing then a disconnect. Sometimes they ask for Randy Fulton. I did get to speak to someone yesterday and assured them that no one lives here by that name. Also  spoke to another person by pressing redial and they assured me we would be taken off their phone list.
No luck. Calls again around 9:40 am.

called the number they left me and you get a recording saying please hold while we process your call and then an immediate disconnected. Ridiculous, I think they are automated calls just to harass a person.  I wonder if they can be sued...

Get an attorney!!! They will send a lawsuit to you via a nice visit from a sherrif and if you don't respond a sherrif's sale will take place. It's worth every penny to have an attorney on your side.

I would take their threats very seriously. I am being sued right now and facing a bankruptcy so they can't take everything I own.

These butthedsnow sent a summons to ourt to my ife. After trying to work withthse idiots now they want to sue. We came up with a settlement with them and mustered up the money. It wasn't without all these other charges. Now they said they will cancel the debt and the summons. I asked for a recipt and proof of the cancelation, they said 21 days until we can request it. I don't know whatkind of operation they are running, bt if iever hear from these pricts again thy will be hearing from my attorney and i will sue sue sue and sue they are ran dry and put out of business. All by the way you scum bags, you have been reported to the BBB and boy you guys fail FFFFFF.

These butheads are rude. my wife called them to settle a debt that she owed, they acted like she was an idiot and theydon't want to set up a payment plan. They wanted money upfront. The world goes to crap they don't want to help.We are finally starting to get backon our feet and they want to break it off in someone. Everybodyelse wants to work with you why cn't them. Piss poor work practice. If i ever win the lottery, I will sue these people and put them out of work so they know how it feels to be harrased!!!!!!!!!!!

This is what sucks about having a common name. We are always getting calls for a man with the same name as my husband from collection agencies.

They even call in the middle of the day when he's at work and will not verify the info even though I have a POA.

I recently got a new home phone number, and since then I have been getting calls from Weltman Weinberg and Reis from 8008376008. Same deal, no one picked up, after hours. During business hours though, you can get someone and I called the first time and asked to be removed from the list. No success.
I just called again after a few more annoying calls, and spoke to a Mari. She said she removed my name, but I wanted to be sure, so I asked for an address. She became somewhat beligerent (sp). I immediately asked for a supervisor and Erin F was put on the line. Erin was a bit more 'pleasant' and did give me his extension:

I've been getting calls 3 times a day about my student loans from them, they are saying that I have defaulted on my student loans. I know I have been making accurate and precise payements each month so I called my loan company and they said they couldn't tell me why they were calling b/c my account was paid to current. I finally got a number to call them back and they are very threatning and RUDE. They cannot tell me who the loan is from and why they are calling.....what can I do to stop this madness???

We are receiving calls from this number.  We are unable to get anyone at the other end.  We want the calls to stop as they fill our answering machine.

Debt buyers typically file suits that may be out of statutes, have improper pleadings, contain manufactured affidavits, and have no trail of ownership.

I have received two messages from this company, both leaving a number of 1-888-532-7109 ext. 22766. No one ever answers the phone and i left 1 voicemail with no return phone call. I am late on a few bills but none of which are what anyone else in this thread of said.

I have been receiving calls daily from this number.  It is a recording saying to call this number.  Doesn't say why.  Couldn't care less when they are invading my privacy on a line that I pay for.  I am listed on the national do not call center and have just recently relisted to make sure I am current and then I am going to report them after the mandatory 30 day waiting period (after relisting) is over.  I am sick and tired of getting out of the shower just to hear a recorded telemarketing or political message.  Why is this not an invasion of privacy?  I do not accept marketing as a reasonable use of the telephone service I Pay For!!!!

They've called me three times this week, and finally left a message an hour ago when I was out. They are calling my cell phone. The message didn't say anything about who they were or why they were calling, just left this number with their business hours.

I get this call several times a day, at least 4 times every week for past 2 years or so.. A recorded male voice saying : this is Walton, Weiber & Reese calling, please call us at 1-800-589-8516. I have never been able to get through to them when i try to return call. I contacted my local phone company. A supervisor there did get through to them and it was concluded I was not on their list of bad debtors. This company said they would remove my number from their list and not call me anymore. WELL, the calls stopped for about 2 weeks then started again. My local phone company says there is nothing they can do now. i wich there was a way to stop these annoying calls that come at all hours of the day and night.

Said they were from Waltman, Weinberg & Reese and to call 800-718-2807 ext 22709. the caller id says 800 service.  Very threatening said they were going to move forward with legal action.  This was regarding a Discover card that my ex-husband had who has since passed away.  I called Discover and they told me that they had engaged this firm to collect the debt from me.

i receved the same call from 800-718-2807 that they where looking for someone i didnt know.  i called back at 1-800--223-7824 during the day got someone on the line the first time told them my number said that i wasnt this person and didnt know this person and they said thanks and they would fix the proublem.  they where very nice about it.

keep getting same messages to call them back but when I do, there is nobody available.  Will not leave my name and number.  Tried calling both the number that showed up on my caller ID and the number they ask me to call back.  Will try calling during office hours.  Do not owe any money either and this is getting really annoying.

I have been getting these harrassing phone calls at very odd times of the day - after their office is "closed".  Call the # and the voice box is full. same as above.  Call the number back and there is no answer and the voice box is full.  Never home to recieve the call.  Personally never heard of a debt collector giving you a number to call back and no one answers.  Seems if they really wanted to collect on a debt they would make sure they where there to receive your call.  Pretty sure this is just some scam.  Don't owe any money.

Same as above, call from 800-223-7824....message regarding some attorneys or whatnot, nobody ever answers when you call back.  And if this is a debt collector they definitely have the WRONG person.  How do I get off of this phone list?

An annoying call from some lawfirm of weldin, wineburg, and reese.  All the gentleman recording says is call us at M-T 8-9, F 8-5, and S 8-12est.
