just had that # called here-who are they?

I have been getting called by this number 800-223-9113 and no one there or leave msg. Yesterday I could hear a person and I asked them in Spanish to talk to me. He just said 'OH" and hung up. I have called back the number repeatedly, it hangs up. I have reported to FBI, it's an international scam from Africa.

No message left. Keeps calling.

Called at 2:17 p.m., March 24.....left no message...they have called before.  Tried to call number back but I get disconnected...
They need to stop harrassing me!

They were found out at a prevous # but charges were not pressed. They stole approx 133,000 dollars according to my sorce.

They have a loophole and there is nothing that you can do its overseas with their own rules and the US can not control it. They will never give u info.

I had a woman slip when she called and said Lexing Law Office, but then said she needed my website info. I told her it was public listing. WEnt on for about 10 mins back and forth trying to get info from eachother to no luck.

They are scamming i suggest getting a trac phone to use for anything on the internet keep it off and just check the voicemail from time to time.

Also the give out a Customer service number- this number when called. The guy/gals are always nice as gold and they are a Hottub/Pool store. They are getting caught up in this as victoms also. =(

Whomever calling from this number is very rude. When they discovered my wife wasn't there, they hung up immediately.

I have gotten repeated calls from this number.  The first time I answered it- the Indian sounding person asked for someone- no one I knew- told him he had the wrong number and he hung up.  Since the beginning of August 2008 I have had five phone calls from this number.  I no longer answer it- it goes to voice mail but they do not leave a message.

Received call today 08/18/2008 at 10:49 am.  No message was left.  I wanted to start reporting these to try to track the info as I had been continually getting calls from 8664021044 and yesterday was the first day in a week that I had not received a call from them.  

And today... I started receiving calls from this number (8002239113).

I got the same thing about a domain.  I just initiated a transfer between registrars just yesterday for this domain yesterday and thought maybe that it was NetSol or NameSecure confirming my WHOIS information.  I asked her if this was to update my WHOIS record and she did not know what I was talking about.  I did confirm my address because that is public info.  When she asked me to confirm my fax number, I asked her to tell it to me first.  She then hung up on me.  What can anyone do to stop these people?  If they have done it to these people on this message board, how many people do they actually scam?  Is there a place to "officially" report this and have action taken against these people?

Received a call this morning asking to confirm that I was the owner of a domain name.  The guy confirmed my name, and my domain address, then asked if I had a fax number.  When I said that I didn't, the guy hung up.  Tried calling back but it keeps hanging up.

I am getting sssooooo ticked!!! I have gotten 3 calls from this number in the last 4 hours.  When I answer, no one's there and then it cuts off.  I called the number back this last time and it doesn't even ring, just cuts off.  I really do wish someone would speak so I can mess with their brains a little! Maybe whisper in the phone "I think the FBI is tracing all my calls. If they think you are part of this deal your going up the river! They are watching....always watching...."  Maybe whoever this is will think I am psycho or something and take our number off their list!

They call my number 2x per day. I never answer, they don't stop calling for more than a day or two and it's been going on for weeks now.

Scam - why can't our billion $ government track down these scammers? The phone company has their name and addresses, for gosh sakes!

WARNING: Keep getting calls from, 1.800.223.9113 and they never say anything. After about a minute they hang up. When I call back using the same number they called me on, there is no ring at all. (which means their computer picks up the line as soon as the phone ground is opened) Than after about 30 seconds the system disconnects the call. No one "yet" ever answers my call, even when I use a different phone that has a completely different exchange code and number.

After real over most of these call logs from other in this post, there scammers "phishing" for data anyway they can get it.

WARNING!! I keep getting calls asking me if I want to lower my interest rates on my credit cards. That's a scam too, as only the credit card company can do that. Just hang up!

Repeatedly calls my home number, almost daily, but never answers or leaves a voice mail.  I am amazed that in spite of the long list of complaints about this number on this website, nobody has been able to do anything about this nuisance.

Called from some "domain notification" service and wanted my fax number so I can update the information for my expiring domain.  I refused, assuming it was another registrar trying to steal my registration from Network Solutions.  I asked if they were a registrar and she would not answer my question directly, just saying they are affiliated with ICANN (as are all registrars).  Spoke with very broken English.

This actually ID's as 0018002239113 on 1471, telling me it's American and would be a freefone number to them. But, from the UK you could easily be charged if you;re daft enough to call them back.
I got a call just now and after a pause I heard a recorded 'please hold the line, we have a call for this number' message in an American female voice, when that ended it cut to the engaged tone. Straight away that got me annoyed, I hate these automated systems that don't connect you first time.
If, as noted in other messages here, they are trying to scam me for my domain name then I'm now ready for them - and can happily give them microsoft.com to renew for me. They'll not get at any others I hold.
Despite what they say, they do NOT 'need to know' anything without telling you who they are first. If they are a company or a government department, they should identify who is claling before asking you to part with any personal info.
Insist they correspond by post only, tell them you do not discuss business over the phone, even if you don't own a domain name.

These people will not stop. They will not stop calling.  They called me yesterday over 30 times.  They are stalking harder than fatal instinct! I am on the do not call list, and have told them that but they do not care.  I have had them call mostly as a domain registry service, but have called as a mortgage company, and even called as sprint wireless. They don't even have their stories straight between all of these operators.  You ask them a question or say something and they don't respond like human beings, they just stick to their stupid script like robots.

An Indian sound like guy called and wanted me to make a payment because I was a month behind.  After I replied back and said BEHIND, I always pay my phone on time, mainly because I work for spring.  He hang up right the minute I said that.  There after I tried calling the number back, and the first time he hang up, the second time, no one answered.

Someone has to investigate this situation.  This guy(s)(People) are stalking innocent people, and it is not a fun thing to be dealing with.

I would speculate that this is a (poorly run) call center contracting for several clients, at least one of whom is one of those scam artists trying to steal people's about-to-expire domain registrations.
