I get calls (3 so far) from this number, telling me that our daughter needs to be served papers
on behalf of a Dinah Bitsie.  I won't tell them any information but they have an address of where
she used to live in Texas.  I've gone to the police twice, they've called and gotten, what seemed to be, a legit explanation of the case. Last time, after half an hour of explanation that our daughter has no idea
who this Dinah Bitsie is, they declared our daughter expunged from the case.  Today, I get another call,
exactly the same, wanting to serve papers to our daughter so Dinah Bitsie can go to court for who knows what.  Does this sound familiar to anyone.  When I try to call this number, it's a non-working number.

got the call also, I think twice. First time, I forget my conversation but told them I'd report them, this morning (6/5/08), got a call again, silence. I kept the number and flagged it as SPAM so I won't even bother anymore.  I will however report this to the DO NOT CALL LIST.

Operator calls and says I have a call and no one answers

got a call 6 times in one day and when i did answer one of the calls the guy at the other end addresses me by jak and when i asked who this is and why they have been calling me so many times in one day they just hung up, and now they have been calling about every 1/2 hour.  who do we need to talk to get these guys off the line?

just got a call from 800-224-8606. Went to VM but didn't leave a message. I tried calling back no answers.

I got the same call (800-224-8606). Indian Caller mentioned my domain name and wanted a fax number, I said I didn't own a fax machine and he hung up. What kind of crap is this? If this is supposed to be some kind of information gathering scam it is pretty lame. There must be some way for an authority to withdraw the use of these numbers.

Got a call from them today. Lady with a foreign accent. Got my number through the WHOIS listings. She barely knew her lines on how to scam me: She asked me for a fax number, mumbled something about updates (at this point I'm well aware its a scam), I said there are no updates, she mumbles something about the wrong person(?) and hung up on me.

Got the same call, needed to verify whois information, bad indian accent. Hung up.

These people are still at it - just silence then a hang up.

"Domain Support" still.  Just started getting this one myself.  When challenged (missed the first call) the guy hung up on me.

Filed a complaint with the FCC, but we will see how it goes.

Just received a call on my cell phone. I have a few times before but never answered. I answered today and the woman began to ask questions about one of my domains. She said she was verifying the contact info listed on my domain. She finally asked for my fax number. I told her I didn't have one. She said ok. I asked what company she was with and what really was the purpose of her call and she hung up. I tried calling back several times but they answer and hang up right away. This smells like telemarketers to me. Definitely annoying and uncool.

I know it's wrong, but when they called me a couple times I answered saying this was the Hindu holocaust hotline and that they have just won a free trip to Satan's palace... I told them I would show up at there homes and give there whole family a free ride to the furnaces of hell.

I recieved two calls from this number and they did not leave a message. When I tried to call the number, it disconnects as soon as it's connected. I read online that it's a domain registry scam...

I have gotten 4 calls and messages saying nothing since yesterday morning. I use skype for my phone service. I done really know what a domain name is, maybe an account on the internet. If so, I have many of them. I missed all the calls but they keep calling.

I have been receiving calls from this number also on my cell phone. I was unable to get to the phone but when I tried to call back I got silence for about 3secs and then the phone hangs up.

I got a call from this number today. Asked me about a domain name I own and that there have been some updates. I asked him who this was and he asked me for a fax number. Told him I didnt have a fax # and he asked me AGAIN for a fax number because of some very important changes to my domain name. AGAIN I told him I didnt have a fax # and I asked him to tell me why he was calling. He huing up

Ought to be against the law! But wait, I am on the do not call registry so it is against the law (what a useless law - no one even tries to enforce it).

Today, 07/30/08, 10:05am I had a call from this number as well on my cell, I did not answer the phone since I was in another room. When calling back, there was nothing as a response...

How can Spammers like this be stopped?

Calls daily with heavy accent.  I have asked to be removed from their list and I was told they were not a sales call.  I asked again to be removed as the person continued to stay on the line I asked what they wanted and he said to disturb you.  Whomever is using this number is a menace!

Got this call many times never answered, had looked it up tho and knew it was a scam, today they called and i decided to mess with them, it was a lady heavy accent asking about my domain name (from my whois info anyone can get that).

I played along to keep her on the phone saying yes is this godaddy!?!? (she replied yes) my domain isnt even thru godaddy but i was having fun.

I then said well I want to ask about some email plans you offer, also what would it cost to increase my bandwidth and are there any specials going on right now that might save me money on my bill.

She then said we need to verify your information, i rattled off a fake number saying it was my godaddy user number, she then said no we need to verify your address phone social security number etc, I said ok SURE! my ss is 123-45-6789 and I live at 123 smith street, chicago, il (all totally fake) and she paused, repeated MY current address info (from whois i guess) and I said no thats ALL wrong please change it to my current info (LOL). Then I hung up on her.

Kept her for a good 5 mins from calling others, cant wait till they call back.

missed a call so I called back to see who it was....I tried at least 20 times but the number rings once and the line is then disconnected.

got the call from 800-224-8606 a few times now.  Man with accent takes a while to answer and then asks "is this Salezman?"  well that's at least what it sounded like.

Got a call from man with accent, asking for the owner of  ___ Resorts, a timeshare we formerly owned. He asked to speak only to my husband, but sounded disappointed when said we sold it, and that he should not call again. a call back to this number results in only a busy signal...weird.

they keep calling me. when they call i i don't say anything, and neither do they. they end up hanging up.
What can we do to stop these people?

I just got a call from this number. I answered with a typical "Hello", then after a few second pause, a guy says "hi" then hangs up on me. Not sure what legit business would act in such a manner.
