Same as above. Patrick White called, regarding my loan modification. Of course, he didn't identify his company name on the voicemail. ...and of course, I didn't apply for a loan modification.
CallerID was not available.

Received call from Patrick Wi(??) of "loan modification department" saying he received my request for a loan modification on my home mortgage. Didn't say what company he was with. Actually we were changing our mortgage but are not in any kind financial bind at all. Suspected SCAM immediatly and went online to check.

Got a message on my machine saying "We see you're having trouble making your mortgage payments. Please call us at (above) phone number to modify your mortgage loan."
I called back and asked him how he got my phone number and he wouldn't say. Said he was with some company called "Modification Corporation" in Atlanta, GA. He hung up on me. SCAM

Caller ID shows to be out of CA.
I, too, received a call from "Patrick White". "We did receive your request for a loan modification..." Uh, NO you didn't, buddy.
But the Texas State Attorney General's office will receive one from me reporting your a***.

This person has been harassing my parents for sometime. They own their home and would not have requested mortgage modification information for any reason. My Dad is frustrated because they won't stop calling. I called the number today and asked for the company name. The man on the other end just said "Modifications'. I asked what kind of modifications? He replied that they help people modify their mortgages. I do believe this is a scam and sadly some elderly person will probably trust them and become a victim. How can people commit this type of crime and not get caught? I am just glad I was there to help my parents. But who will help others?

Exactly the same thing happened to me that happened to Pickles.

Same thing happen to me this morning. A guy named Patrick left a message. I called back to see who this was and a Doctors network answered at 1-800-228-0826. This is definitely some sort of a scam! Possibly a covering switchboard. He does not leave the company's name. He leads you to believe its your mortage company calling! Thanks for your confirmation on this!

a person callim himself Patrick claimed that I applied for a loan modification - not true - and he knew I was having trouble making my mortgage payments - equally not true.
I called very polite and asked where they were located, I was told Atlanta, GA. The operator asked which number they had called and claimed that they were trying to contact someone else.
I don't believe it - it's just a scam.

received a message - as so many others did - from Patrick claiming I requested a loan modification and he even stated that he knew I had trouble making my mortgage payment - it is a scam. I called them back, just because I was furious over this allegation. They claimed that another name was associated with my number. I know that's a scam.
How can you stop these calls?

I received a call from 1 800 228 0826. I screen all my calls and this person said he was patrick calling about a home loan. I picked up the phone to let him know that he had a wrong number, but it was a recording, not an actual person. I decided to google the number and I am glad I did. Definitely a scam!

I got the same message today. I live in an APARTMENT and have no loans (or credit card debt, but that's another harassing caller). I went ahead and returned the call. Someone actually did answer! I tried to stay polite and explained that this is an apartment and I have no loans...he said he'd "block the number," but we'll see. I thought some legislation passed (either in Ohio or nationally) against soliciting calls like this? What happened??

This company is a scam, attempting to prey on the elderly and/or gullible. There is no "Patrick", which is probably their code word for "we've got another patsy on the line!" We were told "Patrick" is always busy though he's an associate, not a boss, and he is supposedly based in Georgia...making me question how he got wind of my finances (or supposed lack thereof) here in Jersey. Hmmmm...maybe Patrick doubles as a psychic in order to rip off people twice as fast...

This one had me going to. We did apply for a loan modification with our mortgage company last month and after hearing this message I thought is was them finally following up. Glad I looked here first...The message was exactly the same as posted above. "From Patrick..."

I received a message two days in a row on my machine from "Patrick"-same message about loan modification, and unable to make payments and to call him back at 800-228-0826 to help achieve a resonable monthly payment. I never filed an application that he "recieved"!!!

Received a message from someone calling themselves Patrick - same message about a loan modification and to call him back at 800-228-0826. Definitely not a legitimate person for us.

I received a message on my machine from Patrick from loan modification. He says we did receive your request for a loan modification on your home mortgage and to call him back so he can help achieve an affordable monthly payment.
I happen to be asking my bank for a loan modification. I though this was them calling me about it. Turns out it's a telemarketer.

We also received the same phone call about 12 hours ago stating the name Patrick Whiting(?) from a loan modification company. The last time a co. stated they were a loan mod. place, i searched the tele. number and it came up a graphic art co. in new york. Would like to know if this number, etc. is legitimate.
